NIBAF Pakistan Conducts HMC Taxila Visit for PSPC Leadership Induction Program Batch-3

NIBAF Pakistan organized an exposure visit to the Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) in Taxila as part of the PSPC Leadership Induction Program (PLIP) – Batch-3. The activity, held on January 21, 2026, was designed to provide participants with first-hand experience of large-scale industrial operations and manufacturing excellence, complementing the program’s focus on leadership development.

The visit was led by Mr. Ghulam Hussain Afridi, who guided participants through HMC’s operations, offering detailed explanations of industrial processes, production workflows, and operational management practices. The session emphasized the importance of efficiency, quality assurance, and process optimisation in high-volume manufacturing environments.

During the visit, participants observed various stages of production and gained insights into the strategic and operational challenges faced by large industrial enterprises. Discussions included approaches to resource management, process control, and organisational best practices, highlighting how structured operations contribute to sustainable business outcomes.

The exposure visit served as an experiential learning opportunity, allowing participants to connect theoretical leadership concepts with practical applications in a real-world industrial setting. By observing operational strategies and management techniques employed at HMC, participants developed a deeper understanding of effective leadership in complex organisational environments.

Such industrial visits form a critical component of the PLIP curriculum, reinforcing knowledge gained in classroom sessions and fostering holistic leadership capabilities. Participants were encouraged to reflect on the lessons learned and consider their applicability to operational and strategic decision-making within PSPC.

The HMC visit underscores NIBAF Pakistan’s commitment to providing diverse learning experiences that combine technical, operational, and leadership insights. By facilitating direct interaction with industry practices, the program strengthens participants’ preparedness for senior leadership roles in specialised and operationally intensive sectors.

Overall, the activity contributed to building a practical understanding of manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency, aligning with the broader objectives of the PSPC Leadership Induction Program to cultivate informed, capable, and forward-thinking leaders.
