Bank Alfalah has integrated Raast P2M QR functionality into the BYKEA Partner App, expanding access to instant digital payments and reinforcing Pakistan’s push toward a cashless financial ecosystem. The development enables BYKEA partners to receive payments seamlessly through Raast’s Person-to-Merchant (P2M) QR system, marking another step in the country’s ongoing digital banking transformation.
The integration allows merchants and service providers using the BYKEA Partner App to accept real-time payments via Raast QR codes, reducing reliance on physical cash and traditional settlement methods. With this move, Bank Alfalah is leveraging Pakistan’s instant payment infrastructure to improve transaction speed, security, and operational efficiency for micro-entrepreneurs and gig economy workers operating on the BYKEA platform.
Raast, introduced by the State Bank of Pakistan as an instant payment system, has been gradually expanding its use cases to include merchant payments, peer-to-peer transfers, and government disbursements. The inclusion of Raast P2M QR within the BYKEA Partner App strengthens interoperability between financial institutions and digital platforms, ensuring that payments are processed instantly and directly into merchants’ bank accounts.
For BYKEA partners, the feature simplifies payment collection by enabling customers to scan a QR code and complete transactions in real time. This reduces the friction associated with cash handling, lowers settlement delays, and improves transparency in daily earnings. Digital transaction records also provide better financial visibility, potentially supporting access to credit and other banking services in the future.
The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader ambition to increase digital payment adoption and reduce the size of the cash-based informal economy. By embedding Raast P2M QR into an existing app used by a large network of riders and merchants, Bank Alfalah is targeting high-frequency, small-ticket transactions that form a substantial portion of urban commerce.
Bank Alfalah has also outlined clear customer support channels in connection with the rollout. Terms and conditions apply to the service, and customers or partners seeking assistance can reach the bank’s Phone Banking service at 021-111-225-111 or contact the bank via email at contactus@bankalfalah.com. In cases where customers are not satisfied with the response received, complaints can be escalated through the State Bank of Pakistan’s ‘Sunwai’ portal at Sunwai, ensuring regulatory oversight and consumer protection.
In addition to the integration announcement, Bank Alfalah has encouraged customers and stakeholders to stay informed about new developments by joining its official WhatsApp Channel, providing direct updates on services, product launches, and digital banking initiatives.
The integration of Raast P2M QR into the BYKEA Partner App reflects the growing collaboration between banks and platform-based businesses in Pakistan’s digital economy. As fintech adoption accelerates and mobile-first solutions gain traction, such partnerships are expected to play a critical role in scaling secure, real-time payment infrastructure nationwide.
By combining instant payment rails with an active partner network, Bank Alfalah is contributing to the normalization of QR-based transactions across everyday commerce. The move underscores how traditional banks are adapting to platform-driven financial models while advancing the infrastructure needed to support Pakistan’s transition toward a more inclusive and digitally connected banking landscape.
