The National Institute of Banking and Finance, widely known as NIBAF Pakistan, is launching a specialized corporate training program named Next Level Excel Skills for Banking Professionals at its campus in Karachi. Scheduled to take place on July 21, 2026, this day-long intensive training session is designed specifically to help banking staff upgrade their data management, reporting, and analytical skills. Since data acts as the absolute foundation for critical financial decision-making in modern institutions, mastering spreadsheet tools is no longer optional but a basic requirement for efficiency. This face-to-face workshop aims to address the growing need for practical data automation and analytics in the daily operations of local commercial banks and financial institutions.
The training program will run from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon, providing participants with a highly focused learning experience. The registration fee is set at eighteen thousand Pakistani rupees plus applicable taxes per person, and interested organizations must submit their nominations by July 20, 2026. This training program is recommended for a broad spectrum of personnel across the banking sector, including sales teams, branch managers, relationship managers, and marketing officers. Additionally, staff members from credit card departments, customer service officers, service quality managers, complaint handling teams, and compliance managers can benefit from attending this workshop to streamline their routine tasks.
Throughout the training day, participants will cover a robust ten-module course outline tailored to the specific demands of financial environments. The curriculum begins with advanced Excel foundations and moves quickly into critical operational workflows such as data cleaning and preparation, advanced conditional formatting, data validation, and banking input controls. As the day progresses, participants will explore sophisticated banking formulas, data modeling, and data retrieval systems utilizing advanced lookups. The final modules will focus heavily on data analysis through pivot tables, banking charts, visualization techniques, and the actual design and development of executive dashboards. By utilizing actual banking case studies, the course ensures that the skills learned are immediately applicable to real-world scenarios.
Upon completing the program, participants will be equipped with the practical knowledge required to build professional, automated management information systems and regulatory reports. This reduction in manual reporting efforts is expected to significantly improve the accuracy of financial reporting while keeping audit trail integrity intact. These techniques will also enable branch managers and senior executives to design intuitive dashboards that facilitate swift, data-backed strategic moves.
The training session will be led by Sumaira Ghouri, a highly accomplished corporate trainer and public speaker with over fifteen years of professional experience. As the Chief Learning Officer at the Centre for Excellence in Learning, she holds the distinction of being Pakistan’s first female corporate trainer in Microsoft Office. She is a certified Microsoft Office Specialist Master and has completed the CISCO IT Essential Course. Her academic background is exceptionally diverse, containing an MS in Business Administration, an MBA in Human Resource Management and Management Information Systems, a Master of Economics, a Master of Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Administration, for which she received a gold medal from the National Institute of Labour Administration Training.
By introducing this hands-on masterclass, NIBAF Pakistan continues to support capacity-building initiatives that drive technological adoption across the national banking sector. Interested participants can coordinate their applications through Training Manager Mr. Adnan Haider to secure their enrollment before the deadline.
