Pakistani Rupee Exchange Rate on October 30, 2026: Dollar, Pound and Euro Rates

The Pakistani rupee maintained its extended run of gains against the US dollar on Friday, October 30, 2026, marking its 273rd consecutive trading day of appreciation against the American currency. The local unit closed at Rs276.75 per dollar after gaining one paisa during the session, continuing a trend that has remained in place since December 25, 2025. However, the rupee’s performance against other major international currencies was mixed, with notable losses recorded against the British pound and the euro.

According to the reported exchange-rate figures, the dollar closed at Rs276.7522 on October 30, compared with Rs276.7618 on October 29. This represented a gain of approximately 0.96 paisa for the rupee. The currency had closed at Rs276.7736 on October 28 and Rs276.8022 on October 27, showing a gradual decline in the dollar’s value against the local unit over the four trading sessions.

The rupee faced pressure against the British pound, which increased by approximately Rs2.74 to reach Rs371.1939 on October 30. The pound had been trading at Rs368.4530 on October 29, Rs367.8599 on October 28 and Rs368.7698 on October 27. The latest movement represented one of the largest losses for the Pakistani currency among the major currencies listed in the daily exchange-rate comparison.

The euro also strengthened against the rupee during the session. Its value increased by approximately Rs1.51, moving from Rs308.2849 on October 29 to Rs309.7965 on October 30. The euro had traded at Rs307.8553 on October 28 and Rs308.6483 on October 27. The movement indicates that the rupee’s continued gains against the dollar did not translate into similar performance against European currencies.

Against the Australian dollar, the Pakistani rupee recorded an improvement of around 28 paisas, with the currency declining from Rs194.7849 on October 29 to Rs194.5015 on October 30. The local unit, however, lost approximately 48 paisas against the Canadian dollar, which rose from Rs197.6870 to Rs198.1685 during the same period.

The rupee also recorded modest gains against the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal. The dirham declined from Rs75.3565 on October 29 to Rs75.3467 on October 30, representing a gain of nearly one paisa for the local currency. Similarly, the Saudi riyal moved from Rs73.7520 to Rs73.7455, giving the rupee an improvement of approximately 0.65 paisa.

The local currency also weakened against the Malaysian ringgit and Chinese yuan. The ringgit increased from Rs68.1512 on October 29 to Rs68.2412 on October 30, while the yuan moved from Rs41.5462 to Rs41.5822. These changes represented losses of approximately nine paisas and four paisas, respectively, for the rupee.

The latest currency movements highlight the different performance of the Pakistani rupee across international exchange markets. Although it continued its long-running appreciation against the US dollar, it lost value against several other major currencies, particularly the British pound and euro. The Friday closing figures therefore reflected a mixed performance for the local currency rather than a broad-based gain across all major exchange rates.
