Bank of Khyber has entered into a strategic partnership with Edwardes College Peshawar to introduce modern, customized banking solutions aimed at improving financial access for faculty members, administrative staff, and students. This collaboration represents a forward-looking step toward integrating technology-driven banking facilities into academic institutions and supporting the growing demand for accessible and efficient financial services.
As part of this partnership, BoK has launched its Pay at Work product at Edwardes College, designed to enable seamless salary disbursements for faculty and staff while providing complimentary ATM cards and cheque book facilities. The initiative reflects BoK’s commitment to developing customer-centric solutions that directly address institutional needs, promoting financial inclusion within the education sector.
The agreement was formally signed by Nadia Ambreen, AM Peshawar III BoK, and Shoujat Ali, Principal of Edwardes College Peshawar. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from BoK including Abdullah Ghaffar, Group Head Retail Banking, Ali Arbab, Irshad Siraj, and Fahd Khan, alongside Sarfaraz Khan, Director Finance of Edwardes College.
Under the terms of the agreement, Edwardes College will gain access to a suite of comprehensive banking facilities designed to increase operational convenience and efficiency across the campus. This includes the installation of a dedicated on-campus ATM to facilitate everyday transactions for students and staff, a seasonal collection counter for admissions and fee payments, and Shariah-compliant banking services tailored to institutional requirements.
One of the key features of the collaboration is the integration of BoK’s advanced Online Cash Management platform. This digital solution provides real-time fund transfers, online collections, and automated reconciliation tools, allowing the college administration to manage financial operations seamlessly. By digitizing and simplifying processes like fee collection and salary payments, the partnership is expected to significantly reduce administrative overhead while enhancing the overall banking experience for users.
Speaking at the event, BoK representatives emphasized that this partnership strengthens the bank’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion through innovation and customer-focused solutions. They highlighted the importance of building strong relationships with educational institutions to create digital-first ecosystems where students and faculty can benefit from modern banking infrastructure.
Officials from Edwardes College expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that the availability of convenient banking services on campus will enhance efficiency and accessibility for students and staff. With increasing digital adoption in financial services, such initiatives are set to play a key role in fostering financial literacy and improving financial management practices at the institutional level.
This partnership is part of BoK’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the education sector by integrating banking services with academic environments. By combining digital technology with personalized financial solutions, BoK aims to offer a seamless and secure banking experience to communities that are often underserved by traditional financial models.
As Pakistan’s financial landscape evolves, collaborations between banks and educational institutions are becoming critical in driving digital transformation. The BoK-Edwardes College partnership stands as a practical example of how strategic banking solutions can enhance institutional efficiency while empowering students and staff with greater financial access.
