Faysal Bank Partners with Oladoc to Provide PWDs with Healthcare Access and Financial Inclusion

Faysal Bank, one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, has unveiled a landmark initiative aimed at promoting financial inclusion while providing essential healthcare benefits to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The bank’s latest program goes beyond conventional banking, combining financial services with health support to empower PWDs and their families.

The initiative was formally launched at Faysal Bank’s Head Office in Karachi, in a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both Faysal Bank and Oladoc, a leading digital healthcare platform. Representing Oladoc were CEO & Co-Founder Abid Zuberi and Head of Commercial Syed Ali Sherazi. Faysal Bank was represented by Arqam Jahangir Butt, Head Wealth Management & Priority Banking; Farah Ali, Head Retail Liability Products & Women Financial Inclusion; and Muhammad Muneeb Khan, Unit Head Wealth Management.

Under this collaboration, PWDs opening accounts with Faysal Bank will gain access to free video consultations with top doctors, as well as substantial discounts on surgeries, lab tests, consultation fees, medicine deliveries, and wellness and lifestyle consultations. This comprehensive offering aims to break barriers, ensuring convenience, affordability, and quality healthcare for PWDs, while promoting financial empowerment.

Speaking at the event, Farah Ali highlighted the bank’s commitment to inclusive growth, stating, “At Faysal Bank, we believe in creating opportunities that go beyond banking. This partnership with Oladoc reflects our commitment to empowering Persons with Disabilities by providing both financial solutions and access to essential healthcare services. We are delighted to take this step toward building a more inclusive society.”

Abid Zuberi of Oladoc echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the platform’s role in making healthcare accessible to all. “Our mission at Oladoc has always been to make healthcare affordable and accessible. Through this collaboration with Faysal Bank, we are extending our services to Persons with Disabilities, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. Together, we aim to create a positive impact on lives by bridging the gap between healthcare and financial inclusion,” he said.

This partnership highlights Faysal Bank’s ongoing efforts to integrate care and inclusion into its banking model. By combining digital healthcare solutions with financial services, the bank is providing PWDs with tools to manage both their financial and medical needs efficiently. The initiative also underscores the growing trend of Islamic banks in Pakistan embracing social responsibility and innovation to meet the evolving needs of diverse communities.

Financial experts note that initiatives like these not only enhance access to healthcare for vulnerable populations but also strengthen trust and engagement between banks and their customers. By addressing social challenges alongside financial services, Faysal Bank is setting a precedent for inclusive banking in Pakistan, demonstrating how institutions can leverage partnerships to create meaningful social impact.

The Faysal Bank-Oladoc collaboration marks a significant milestone in linking banking services with healthcare accessibility, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to empowering communities through innovative solutions that merge finance, technology, and social welfare.
