Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue & Economic Affairs, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Federal Minister for Law & Justice (also Minister for Climate Change & Environment Coordination), Mr. Ahmed Irfan Aslam, and SECP Chairman, Mr. Akif Saeed, visited the PBA office in November. They met with Muhammad Aurangzeb, PBA Chairman, and Tawfiq Husain, PBA CEO & Secretary General, to discuss the proposed Pakistan Climate Change Fund. The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Climate Change & Environment Coordination, aims to address the challenges posed by climate change to Pakistan’s socioeconomic and environmental sustainability. Discussions also explored the potential role of banks in contributing to the establishment of the fund.
