Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb held a significant meeting with delegations from Global Consulting Firm Kearney and the Public Private Partnership Authority (P3A) at the Finance Division on Monday.
During the meeting, the Kearney delegation provided a comprehensive overview of their current work and functions, particularly their engagement under the SIFC program to restructure public entities. They informed the minister about the ongoing process with P3A, including the finalization of the list of entities to be restructured and the identification of priority areas for intervention.
Aurangzeb expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Kearney and emphasized the crucial role that public-private partnerships (PPPs) play in driving the country’s development. He stressed the importance of the private sector taking a leading role in this process and highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts in privatization and the reform of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) as key components of this strategy.
The meeting reinforced the commitment of both Kearney and P3A to advancing public sector restructuring and the broader privatization agenda. Both parties share a focus on enhancing the role of the private sector in national development, reflecting a mutual dedication to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector initiatives.
