The ICMA KSA Branch Council, in collaboration with the National CPD Committee, is set to organise an online webinar focused on memory training, cognitive development and their potential role in professional learning and performance. Titled “The Master Key: Unlocking Brain Longevity and Professional Success Through Trained Memory,” the session will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, and will be conducted through Zoom. The webinar is part of the professional development activities being organised for members and professionals seeking practical approaches to improving learning and memory skills.
The session will feature Farhan Mohammad Shabbir, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Topline PR (Pvt.) Limited, as the speaker. Shabbir is also an author, media professional and educator, bringing experience from professional communication, media and education to the discussion. The webinar is expected to focus on techniques that participants can explore for improving their ability to retain and recall information, particularly in professional and learning environments where effective information processing can support day-to-day responsibilities.
The event will also be hosted by Mallick Kamran, FCMA, who is associated with Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Company (SAJCO). His role as host will support the online session and its interaction with participants. The involvement of professionals from different areas provides the webinar with a broader professional development context, linking memory and learning techniques with workplace performance and continued skills development.
According to the event details, the webinar will cover practical memory techniques and cognitive training methods. Among the subjects highlighted for the session are the Link System and the Method of Loci, also commonly known as the Memory Palace technique. These approaches are used as structured methods for organising and recalling information. The webinar is intended to introduce participants to these techniques and discuss how they can be incorporated into learning and professional routines.
The organisers have scheduled the webinar for 1:00 PM Saudi Arabia time and 3:00 PM Pakistan time on October 10. Since the session will be conducted online through Zoom, participants will be able to attend remotely. Registration for the webinar is available through the registration link provided by the organisers, allowing interested professionals to sign up ahead of the event.
The focus on memory and cognitive training comes within the broader context of continuing professional development, where professionals are required to regularly acquire, retain and apply new information. Memory techniques can provide structured approaches for handling information, while cognitive training can be used as part of individual learning practices. The webinar will therefore examine these subjects from the perspective of learning efficiency and professional performance rather than limiting the discussion to academic memory exercises.
The ICMA KSA Branch Council and National CPD Committee have positioned the session as an opportunity for participants to explore practical methods that can be applied to their professional and learning activities. The discussion will include the Link System, Method of Loci and Memory Palace approach, alongside broader concepts related to trained memory and cognitive development. With Farhan Mohammad Shabbir serving as speaker and Mallick Kamran, FCMA, as host, the October 10 webinar will bring together these topics in an online professional development session accessible to participants in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other locations.
