Under this agreement, Karandaaz will design and implement a pilot project aimed at increasing the use of Raast, Pakistan’s instant payment system, for beneficiary payments in selected districts. Additionally, Karandaaz will conduct a nationwide Digital and Financial Literacy Training program for BISP beneficiaries, equipping them with the skills needed to effectively navigate digital financial systems. The agreement was signed by BISP DG (Cash Transfers) Naveed Akbar and Karandaaz Chief Digital Officer Sharjeel Murtaza.
The signing ceremony, held at BISP Headquarters, was presided over by Senator Rubina Khalid and attended by key officials, including Secretary BISP Amer Ali Ahmad, Additional Secretary Dr. Tahir Noor, and Director Generals from various departments.
