National Bank of Pakistan Observes Men’s Day with Leadership and Well-Being Program

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) commemorated Men’s Day with a comprehensive program at its Head Office Auditorium, bringing together senior leaders and employees for a session focused on reflection, dialogue, and professional well-being. The event was designed to recognize the contributions of male employees across the organization, while promoting awareness around emotional balance, leadership, and workplace engagement.

The program began with a session titled “Behind the Titles,” featuring a leadership dialogue with some of NBP’s top executives. Participants included Mr. Adnan Nasir, SEVP & Group Chief, Digital Banking Group, Mr. Ismail Yusuf, SEVP & Group Chief, Treasury & Capital Markets Group, and Mr. Faisal Topra, SEVP, Retail Banking Group. The discussion explored the personal and professional journeys of the panelists, highlighting the challenges, learning experiences, and values that have shaped their careers. They also shared perspectives on leadership, decision-making, and expectations within a dynamic banking environment, providing employees with insights into the qualities required to lead effectively in today’s financial sector.

Following the leadership dialogue, the event featured a keynote session titled “The Happiness Advantage,” delivered by Adeel Azhar, a well-known FM host and motivational speaker. His session emphasized the importance of mindset, emotional well-being, and maintaining a balanced approach to professional and personal life. Azhar’s talk encouraged participants to adopt strategies for stress management, resilience, and mindfulness, linking these concepts to enhanced performance and satisfaction in the workplace.

Throughout the program, NBP emphasized that Men’s Day is not only about acknowledging male employees’ contributions but also about fostering an environment of inclusivity, dialogue, and holistic well-being. The sessions encouraged attendees to reflect on leadership values, communication practices, and the importance of supporting colleagues in their professional and personal growth. By focusing on both professional development and mental health, the bank reinforced its commitment to nurturing a supportive and positive workplace culture.

The program concluded with an informal interaction between employees and the panelists, providing an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, share perspectives, and discuss the key themes from the sessions. This engagement helped strengthen internal communication, mentorship, and employee morale, while fostering a sense of community within the organization.

NBP’s Men’s Day observance aligns with its broader initiatives to enhance employee engagement, leadership development, and workplace well-being. By combining leadership insights with practical guidance on mental and emotional health, the bank demonstrated its commitment to building a motivated, resilient, and high-performing workforce.

Overall, the event reflected NBP’s focus on recognizing contributions, promoting professional growth, and encouraging dialogue around leadership and personal well-being, establishing a model for corporate celebrations that prioritize both recognition and employee development.
