NIBAF Pakistan has successfully concluded a dedicated two-day leadership development program designed for middle-management officers of the Bank of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The training initiative reflects an ongoing effort to build strong leadership capabilities within the country’s banking sector and equip rising professionals with essential skills needed to navigate the evolving operational landscape of modern financial institutions.
The program was held at NIBAF’s Islamabad campus from October 31 to November 1, 2025, and was conducted in an in-person format. The session was facilitated by trainer Zaydan Khan, who led discussions and practical exercises tailored to emerging banking leaders. The training agenda was structured to focus on personal leadership journeys, communication excellence, stress resilience, and collaborative work practices, offering participants a comprehensive learning experience that aligns with contemporary managerial demands.
The first day of the program centered on developing a strong personal leadership mindset and strengthening business communication capabilities. Participants examined core leadership traits, explored varying leadership styles, and engaged in exercises designed to enhance organizational communication. Focus areas included clarity in professional dialogue, confidence building, and understanding behavioral dynamics in leadership roles. These sessions encouraged participants to reflect on their managerial responsibilities and identify areas for personal and professional growth while understanding the role of effective communication in decision-making and team guidance.
On the second day, the training shifted toward stress management principles and collective team performance. Attendees participated in both structured learning sessions and outdoor team-building exercises. Stress management discussions emphasized coping strategies, emotional balance, and resilience practices that help maintain productivity and positive work environments under high-pressure situations common in financial institutions. The outdoor activities reinforced collaboration, problem-solving, and trust-building among colleagues, allowing participants to experience teamwork in real-time settings beyond office environments.
The objective of this training initiative was to empower BAJK’s middle-management professionals to lead confidently, develop a cooperative team culture, and drive organizational efficiency. As banking systems continue to modernize and adopt technology-driven operational frameworks, human leadership competencies remain central to sustainable institutional development. Programs like this support banking professionals in preparing for expanded roles, improving communication with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining focus under changing regulatory and economic environments.
Leadership development has become a key focus for financial institutions across Pakistan as banks increasingly recognize the importance of strong managerial capabilities in achieving transformation goals, improving customer experience, and fostering innovation. The NIBAF-BAJK collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building a resilient workforce capable of guiding the sector through both operational challenges and future growth trajectories.
The program marked another step in strengthening organizational culture and professional excellence across regional banking networks, contributing to improved governance, communication discipline, and employee engagement. Participants are expected to implement the insights and skills gained during the training within their respective branches and departments, supporting BAJK’s mission to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness across its network.
