NIBAF Pakistan has announced a specialized one day training workshop titled “Effective Internal Control for Managing Operational Losses” to help professionals strengthen their understanding of internal controls, governance, and operational risk management. The workshop will take place on August 20, 2026, in Gujranwala, bringing together professionals responsible for managing operational processes, compliance, and organizational oversight across the banking and corporate sectors.
The training has been designed to address the growing importance of effective internal control systems in reducing operational losses and improving organizational performance. As businesses and financial institutions continue to operate in an increasingly regulated environment, robust internal controls have become essential for safeguarding assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing operational risks, and strengthening decision making. The workshop aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and industry best practices that can be implemented within their respective organizations.
According to NIBAF Pakistan, the program is intended for a broad range of professionals, including managers and supervisors responsible for operational units, finance teams, audit and compliance professionals, and employees working in key operational functions such as human resources, procurement, accounts, treasury, and information technology. The workshop is also suitable for personnel involved in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating internal control systems across organizations.
The session will be facilitated by Syed Muhammad Taqi Shah, Head of Trainings and Partnerships at Kaprix Consulting. With more than 50 years of professional experience spanning banking, insurance, corporate, and education sectors, he has built extensive expertise in organizational transformation, governance, compliance, and executive leadership. As Country Manager Training for T24, he led the organization’s transition from Union Bank of Pakistan to the T24 core banking platform, contributing to improvements in operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and employee capability.
The workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a training investment of PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. NIBAF Pakistan has announced August 19, 2026, as the final date for nominations, encouraging organizations and professionals to register before the deadline. The program is expected to provide participants with practical insights that can strengthen internal control frameworks and improve operational resilience within their institutions.
