The National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) Pakistan is set to conduct an executive workshop on “Generative AI for Financial Analysis and Reporting” at its Karachi Campus on October 2, 2026. The one-day programme is designed for professionals seeking to understand the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in financial analysis and reporting. The workshop will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus.
The training has been structured around the growing use of Artificial Intelligence in financial and data-related activities. The programme is intended to provide participants with practical exposure to Generative AI and its potential applications in financial analysis and reporting processes. By focusing specifically on finance-related tasks, the workshop is positioned as an executive-level learning opportunity for professionals looking to develop relevant technology skills alongside their existing financial expertise.
Irfan Bakaly, a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and technology trainer, will serve as the facilitator for the workshop. Bakaly has more than 20 years of experience in technology and data analytics training and has delivered training across leading institutions. His professional background includes extensive work related to technology education and data analysis, providing the basis for his role in the NIBAF programme.
Bakaly is also recognized as Pakistan’s first Microsoft MVP in the Excel category. In addition to his professional training activities, he runs the technology tutorial channel “Irfan Wazir Ali,” which features more than 525 technical tutorials. His educational work covers technology and data-related subjects and provides learning resources for professionals and other technology users.
The workshop will focus on Generative AI in the context of financial analysis and reporting, connecting emerging Artificial Intelligence capabilities with functions commonly performed by finance professionals. The programme is part of NIBAF Pakistan’s training activities aimed at providing professionals with exposure to technologies that are increasingly being incorporated into business and analytical workflows.
The training investment for the workshop has been set at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. Participants interested in attending the programme are required to submit their nominations by October 1, 2026, one day before the scheduled workshop. The session will take place at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus and will run for the full working day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The executive workshop provides finance professionals with an opportunity to explore Generative AI within a specific financial context rather than approaching the technology as a general-purpose subject. With the programme centered on financial analysis and reporting and facilitated by an experienced technology and data analytics trainer, NIBAF Pakistan is offering participants a structured learning session focused on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, data and finance.
