Lahore, Pakistan – NUCES FinTech Society (NFS), a student-led organization at FAST-NUCES Lahore campus, and Fintech News Pakistan have formalized a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing Pakistan’s financial technology ecosystem by connecting students, professionals, and industry stakeholders.
The 12-month collaboration establishes a framework for content creation, cross-platform promotion, and knowledge exchange, bridging the gap between academia and the fintech industry. Under the agreement, NFS members will contribute articles, research, and analysis through a Student Contributor Program, while both organizations will co-develop social media content highlighting industry trends, innovation, and fintech insights.
The partnership includes coordinated activities across Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, monthly story takeovers, joint newsletter features, and live coverage of webinars and workshops. These initiatives are designed to create visibility for student projects, amplify thought leadership, and provide students with real-world exposure to fintech operations and professional networks.
“This partnership represents a significant milestone in bridging the gap between academia and industry,” said Owais Mukhtar, President of NFS. “By collaborating with Fintech News Pakistan, we’re enabling students to contribute to national fintech discourse, gain practical experience, and connect with professionals shaping Pakistan’s financial technology landscape. This is about building a unified community where student innovation meets industry expertise.”
Qasim Qazi, Founder of Fintech News Pakistan, emphasized the value of student involvement in driving innovation: “We’re excited to partner with NFS and tap into the fresh perspectives emerging from FAST-NUCES Lahore. Student voices are essential for innovation in fintech, and this collaboration allows us to showcase their projects, research, and ideas to a professional audience, while building pathways for the next generation of fintech leaders.”
The collaboration extends beyond content creation to coordinated event promotion, thought leadership initiatives, and live coverage of webinars and workshops. Student fintech projects and achievements will be highlighted to Fintech News Pakistan’s professional audience, enhancing visibility for emerging talent and supporting ecosystem development.
Both organizations have also committed to broader institutional collaboration with universities, start-up incubation centers, and co-working spaces across Pakistan, aiming to foster fintech growth and entrepreneurship. The partnership includes co-branding protocols, monthly coordination meetings, and shared intellectual property rights for jointly created content, ensuring sustainable and structured engagement between students and industry stakeholders.
Through this partnership, NUCES FinTech Society and Fintech News Pakistan are positioning themselves as key catalysts for building a vibrant, connected, and innovation-driven fintech ecosystem in Pakistan, creating tangible opportunities for students while strengthening ties with the broader financial technology community.
