Pakistan Invites Dubai Islamic Bank to Boost Investments

Federal Minister for Finance and Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb extended an invitation to Dubai Islamic Bank to increase its investments in Pakistan. During a virtual meeting with the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Dr Adnan Chilwan, the minister reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a stable macroeconomic environment and providing a conducive atmosphere for foreign investment.

The minister emphasized the government’s dedication to strengthening economic ties with international partners, particularly in the realm of Islamic banking. He highlighted the progress made in stabilizing the economy and creating a favorable environment for business and investment.

In response, Dr Chilwan expressed Dubai Islamic Bank’s appreciation for Pakistan’s economic policies and initiatives. The bank reiterated its keen interest in playing a more significant role in the country’s financial growth, particularly in sectors such as Islamic banking, infrastructure, and SME development.
