In his Eid message, delivered on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 1446 Hijrah, the Prime Minister reminded the nation of the importance of these values, which are celebrated and embodied during the joyous festival.

The Prime Minister’s message highlighted the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr, noting that it teaches essential virtues such as happiness, thankfulness, brotherhood, and empathy. He pointed out that the holy month of Ramadan instills qualities like forbearance, patience, and sacrifice, and he called for the continuation of these principles beyond the fasting month. Shehbaz stressed that adhering to Islamic values is crucial in building a society that thrives on unity, harmony, and mutual respect.

“Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us the values of happiness, thankfulness, brotherhood, and empathy,” said Shehbaz in his message. “During Ramadan, we cultivate patience, sacrifice, and self-discipline. These qualities should not only define our actions during the month of fasting but should become an integral part of our daily lives.”

In addition to expressing festive joy, Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the ongoing challenges Pakistan is facing. He acknowledged that the country is grappling with both internal and external threats, and emphasized the need for collective national strength to overcome these challenges. “Today, Pakistan faces threats from both internal and external enemies,” the Prime Minister remarked. “We must guard against extremism, hatred, and sectarianism, and work towards strengthening our unity for the country’s integrity and stability.”

The Prime Minister also emphasized that strengthening the economy and society is a shared responsibility, urging all citizens to unite for the betterment of the nation. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to economic revival, social stability, and maintaining law and order. “It is our collective responsibility to strengthen the economy, society, and national solidarity,” Shehbaz stated, adding, “We must make concerted efforts to put the country on the path to progress.”

Another key point in Shehbaz Sharif’s message was the ongoing war against terrorism and the sacrifices made by the country’s armed forces in ensuring Pakistan’s security. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the officers and soldiers who have given their lives in the line of duty, honoring their bravery and dedication. “Today, we pray to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of all martyrs and express solidarity with their families,” he said.

Shehbaz also expressed grief over the tragic Jafar Express incident and extended his condolences to the families of the victims. In his message, he called on the nation to remember the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for their struggles. “Pakistan stands firmly with the freedom struggle of the people of IIOJK and Palestine and will continue to support them,” the Prime Minister declared.

He also urged the international community to play an active role in halting human rights violations and addressing the legitimate concerns of oppressed people around the world. “The international community must act to stop the violation of human rights and address the concerns of the oppressed,” he emphasized.

Finally, Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the people of Pakistan to share the blessings of Eid-ul-Fitr with those who are less fortunate, as a reminder to foster a welfare-oriented society. He encouraged citizens to spread joy to the underprivileged, relatives, and neighbors, ensuring that the spirit of giving extends beyond one’s immediate family.

The Prime Minister prayed for strength and guidance, asking for Allah’s help in understanding the true significance of Eid-ul-Fitr and in applying its teachings in daily life. “May Allah Almighty grant us the strength to understand the true significance of Eid-ul-Fitr and implement its teachings in our daily lives,” Shehbaz Sharif concluded in his heartfelt message to the nation.
