The inflow of remittances through the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) has surged to $11.707 billion by the end of December 2025, up from $11.494 billion in November 2025, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Remittance inflows for December were recorded at $213 million, compared to $181 million in November and $205 million in October 2025. These accounts cater specifically to Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs), including Non-Resident Pakistan Origin Card (POC) holders, providing access to banking, payment, and investment services in Pakistan.
The number of registered accounts under the RDA program increased by 10,093 to reach 893,193 by the end of December, up from 883,037 accounts in November. This growth underscores the rising adoption of digital banking solutions by the Pakistani diaspora, reflecting confidence in accessible and secure financial services.
As of December 2025, overseas Pakistanis have also shown growing interest in investment avenues through the RDA framework. Investments include $499 million in Naya Pakistan Certificates, $1.024 billion in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates, and $106 million in Roshan Equity Investment. These figures indicate a steady expansion of overseas contributions to Pakistan’s financial markets through structured, regulated channels.
The RDA initiative continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating convenient remittances, investment, and financial inclusion for Non-Resident Pakistanis, while contributing to foreign inflows that support national economic growth. The consistent month-on-month increase highlights the program’s appeal among overseas Pakistanis seeking secure, high-yield investment options combined with ease of banking in their home country.
With digital adoption accelerating globally, the success of the Roshan Digital Account demonstrates the effectiveness of targeted financial products for diaspora communities and their potential to strengthen Pakistan’s banking and investment ecosystem.
