He also brings valuable international experience from his time with Standard Chartered Bank UAE, which adds a global perspective to his leadership approach.

Throughout his career, Sarmed has led large retail banking networks, managed multi-billion-rupee portfolios, and executed strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable business growth. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of banking functions including retail distribution, sales strategy, marketing, and financial management. He has consistently delivered results by aligning operational goals with long-term institutional vision, making him well-equipped to lead DIB Pakistan’s distribution strategy.

Academically, Sarmed holds an MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
