The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the winners of its highly anticipated Art Competition, which invited local artists and designers to submit designs for the new series of banknotes. - Mr. Mirza Sufiyan (2nd Prize, Rs. 10 note)
- Mr. Haroon Khan (1st Prize, Rs. 20 note)
- Syed Fawad Hussain (1st Prize, Rs. 50 note)
- Ms. Memoona Afzal (1st Prize for both Rs. 100 and Rs. 5000 notes)
- Ms. Hadiya Hassan (1st Prize, Rs. 500 note)
- Ms. Aynee Zahra (2nd Prize, Rs. 500 note)
- Ms. Noureen Aslam (1st Prize, Rs. 1000 note)
- Mr. Karim Muhammad (2nd Prize, Rs. 5000 note)
According to the SBP, the winning designs are suggestive and will serve as inspiration for international designers who have been shortlisted to finalize the official banknote series. These international designers will work in collaboration with the SBP, taking into account local elements to create designs that reflect Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage.
