SBP Reserves Rise Slightly

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported a slight increase in its foreign exchange reserves during the week ending August 16. The reserves rose by $19 million to reach $9.292 billion, compared to $9.273 billion the previous week.

When combined with the net reserves held by commercial banks, Pakistan’s overall liquid foreign currency reserves amounted to $14.667 billion, up $22 million from the previous week.

The net reserves held by banks were recorded at $5.376 billion, registering an increase of $3 million during the week.
