Zindigi JS Bank has joined hands with Albario Engineering to bring advanced digital payment solutions to Pakistan’s growing network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The collaboration aligns with the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan vision and the State Bank of Pakistan’s push toward a cashless economy, while also supporting the country’s clean-energy transition.
Under this partnership, Albario’s carbon-free EV charging stations, located along major motorways and in key urban centers, will now feature integrated Raast QR, POS, and in-app payment systems. This development will allow EV drivers to make seamless, contactless payments, eliminating reliance on cash and enhancing convenience for commuters and environmentally conscious consumers.
The integration of Zindigi’s digital banking solutions at Albario charging stations represents a convergence of fintech and clean-energy initiatives. By enabling cashless, real-time transactions, both companies are facilitating a more efficient and transparent payment ecosystem for Pakistan’s emerging EV infrastructure. The move is expected to accelerate adoption of electric vehicles by simplifying user experience and aligning financial processes with modern digital standards.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mohsin Khan, Head of Merchant Channel & Retail at Zindigi JS Bank, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to driving digital financial inclusion and providing seamless payment experiences for all users. By integrating our payment solutions with Albario’s EV infrastructure, we are supporting a greener and more technologically advanced Pakistan,” Khan said.
Ahmad Najeeb, CEO and Director of Albario Engineering, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, noting that the partnership would enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. “By incorporating Zindigi’s Raast QR, POS, and in-app payment systems, we are making EV charging easier, faster, and fully cashless. This is a major step toward promoting sustainable transport and advancing Pakistan’s clean-energy goals,” Najeeb said.
The collaboration also highlights broader trends in Pakistan’s digital finance and clean-energy sectors. As EV adoption increases nationwide, integrating digital payment solutions into charging infrastructure will be critical to creating a frictionless user experience. Additionally, cashless payment adoption at such stations strengthens Pakistan’s broader financial inclusion agenda while reducing dependency on traditional payment methods.
Looking ahead, Zindigi JS Bank and Albario Engineering plan to expand this digital payment integration across additional EV charging sites, further promoting sustainability, convenience, and financial transparency. The initiative is expected to set a benchmark for future fintech and clean-energy partnerships, demonstrating how digital banking can support innovative, environmentally friendly solutions.
This partnership underscores the synergy between financial technology and sustainable infrastructure, positioning Pakistan to embrace both a cashless economy and greener transportation solutions while reinforcing the principles of Digital Pakistan.
