NIBAF Pakistan continues to expand its focus on data-centric leadership development as it conducted Day 2 of the PSPC Leadership Induction Program Batch-3, featuring an intensive session on Data Analytics with Excel and Power BI. The training, held on March 3, 2026, at NIBAF Pakistan in Islamabad, aimed to enhance participants’ practical capabilities in data analysis, visualisation and reporting to support informed decision-making within their organisations.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Irfan Bakaly, who guided participants through advanced analytical techniques and applied learning exercises designed to bridge theory with operational use cases. With data increasingly shaping institutional performance metrics and governance standards, the workshop placed emphasis on equipping emerging leaders with hands-on skills that translate directly into measurable workplace impact.
Participants engaged in structured exercises covering spreadsheet modelling, data cleaning, dashboard creation and performance reporting using Excel and Power BI. The curriculum focused on transforming raw datasets into actionable insights through structured visualisation tools. By integrating analytical frameworks with real-world scenarios, the session sought to build confidence in interpreting trends, identifying anomalies and presenting data in decision-ready formats.
The Leadership Induction Program under PSPC is structured to prepare professionals for evolving organisational demands, particularly in sectors where regulatory oversight, financial management and operational transparency rely heavily on accurate data reporting. The integration of analytics modules into the program reflects a broader shift toward embedding digital literacy within leadership pipelines.
Power BI, widely recognised as a business intelligence tool, was introduced as a strategic platform for consolidating information from multiple sources and creating interactive dashboards. Participants were exposed to practical methods for building reports that enable executive-level clarity while maintaining granular detail for operational teams. Excel, meanwhile, was used to reinforce foundational analytical techniques such as pivot tables, conditional formatting and advanced formulas that support structured data evaluation.
The emphasis on experiential learning distinguished the session from conventional lecture formats. Rather than limiting the discussion to conceptual overviews, the facilitator encouraged participants to apply techniques in real time, enabling immediate feedback and iterative improvement. This approach aligns with NIBAF Pakistan’s broader training philosophy, which prioritises practical application over passive instruction.
As organisations across Pakistan increasingly rely on analytics to guide strategy, leadership programs are adapting to ensure that decision-makers possess both interpretative and technical competencies. The ability to translate data into performance insights is becoming central to managing risk, allocating resources and maintaining competitive positioning.
Day 2 of the PSPC Leadership Induction Program thus reinforced the importance of analytical fluency within institutional leadership tracks. By strengthening participants’ capabilities in Excel and Power BI, the session contributed to building a cadre of professionals equipped to navigate complex datasets and drive evidence-based performance management.
The ongoing program reflects a sustained commitment to professional development in Islamabad, positioning NIBAF Pakistan as a platform for cultivating digitally aware leaders capable of aligning organisational outcomes with data-informed strategies.
