The maintenance operations will directly impact several critical tax administration platforms. Affected systems include the primary IRIS portal, the Digital Invoicing framework, the central Payment System, the Synchronized Withholding Administration and Payment System, and the Point of Sale registration portal. Because these platforms handle everything from income tax return filings and sales tax invoicing to real-time transaction reporting and withholding tax submissions, the temporary suspension effectively halts all digital interactions with the tax authority for the duration of the scheduled maintenance. Consequently, registered businesses and individual taxpayers will be unable to log in, submit declarations, register new sales points, or process tax payments online.
In light of the upcoming service disruption, the Federal Board of Revenue has issued an advisory urging all taxpayers, corporate representatives, and relevant stakeholders to plan their tax administration and compliance schedules well in advance. Taxpayers with pressing deadlines, time-sensitive filings, pending registrations, or immediate payment obligations are strongly advised to complete these actions prior to the start of the system maintenance window on August 8.
