Arif Habib Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading financial services and brokerage firms, has issued a formal corporate disclaimer denying any involvement in a fake news article circulating across various social media platforms and online channels. The fraudulent publication falsely claims that the company has launched an artificial intelligence-based investment platform promising guaranteed earnings of up to five hundred thousand rupees per week. In an official material disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company confirmed that neither its Chairman Arif Habib, nor Arif Habib Limited, nor any subsidiary or affiliate entity within the broader Arif Habib Group has launched, endorsed, sponsored, or maintained any association with such an AI trading scheme or platform.
The brokerage house characterized the contents of the circulating digital report as entirely false, fabricated, and unauthorized, emphasizing that it was designed deliberately to mislead retail investors. Management clarified that the company maintains zero affiliation with the fraudulent publication, its authors, or any underlying websites, mobile applications, and digital registration pages promoting these fraudulent financial claims. In its notification to market participants, the firm strongly advised investors, existing clients, and the general public to exercise extreme caution, verify all investment opportunities, and refrain from depositing funds or sharing sensitive personal data with unauthorized entities promoting high-yield returns.
Investigative details surrounding the scam revealed that the fabricated narrative originated from a spoofed webpage designed to closely mimic the layout and branding of the national English-language daily newspaper Dawn. The impersonating page carried a fake news article alleging that business leader Arif Habib had introduced an automated algorithmic trading tool named BTC+700 Lurot, encouraging readers to register accounts and invest initial capital to secure high weekly yields. The media organization itself issued a formal public clarification, confirming that the fraudulent website operates without authorization and has no connection or affiliation whatsoever with the media group.
Highlighting its commitment to regulatory compliance and market integrity, Arif Habib Limited affirmed that protecting investor interests remains a fundamental priority for the firm. The company cautioned market participants that financial scams leveraging artificial intelligence claims and executive impersonation have increased across digital platforms, making verified communication channels essential for public protection. The brokerage firm reminded the investing public that all official corporate updates, material information, financial reporting, and product offerings are shared exclusively through its verified corporate communication channels and the official portal of the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
