Lahore Tax Bar Association To Hold Practical Training Seminar On Online Tax Filing For TY 2026

The Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) is set to organize a practical training seminar focused on the online filing of income tax returns for Tax Year 2026 through the Inland Revenue Information System (IRIS), with a particular focus on the Asaan Small Traders Fixed Tax Scheme. The session has been arranged for members of the Lahore Tax Bar Association and will provide practical guidance on the online tax return filing process, relevant Tax Year 2026 return forms and related IRIS functionalities. The seminar is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Lahore Tax Bar Association, Tax House, Lahore.

According to the announcement issued by the Lahore Tax Bar Association, the Cabinet of the association has arranged the seminar as a practical learning session for its members. The event is designed to provide hands-on training rather than focusing solely on general information about tax filing. The session will cover the process involved in submitting income tax returns online through IRIS, allowing participants to gain a clearer understanding of the procedures and functions involved in filing returns for Tax Year 2026. The training will also include information relating to the Asaan Small Traders Fixed Tax Scheme, which has been specifically included in the seminar’s agenda.

The PRAL team will specially join the seminar from Islamabad to conduct the practical training. During the session, the team will demonstrate the online filing process and provide guidance to members of the Lahore Tax Bar Association regarding the Tax Year 2026 return forms and related IRIS functionalities. The involvement of the PRAL team is expected to give participants direct exposure to the online filing procedure and the practical steps required when using the IRIS system. The seminar will therefore focus on helping tax professionals understand the filing process through a direct training format.

The seminar will feature Ms. Attiya Ali Khan, Director, PRAL, and Mr. Ahmad Shakeel Babar, Tax Domain Specialist, FBR, as speakers. Their participation will cover both the practical side of the online filing process and tax-related guidance connected with the Tax Year 2026 returns. The presence of representatives associated with PRAL and FBR will give Lahore Tax Bar Association members an opportunity to receive guidance on the relevant online filing procedures and tax return requirements during the scheduled session.

The seminar is part of the Lahore Tax Bar Association’s Session 2026-27 activities and is being presented as an informative and practical training session for its members. The association has invited its members to participate in the session, emphasizing the usefulness of the practical training and guidance that will be provided during the event. The seminar will begin at 3:00 PM sharp on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Lahore Tax Bar Association’s premises at Tax House in Lahore.

The announcement also states that the seminar will be followed by refreshments for participants. The invitation has been issued by Muhammad Farooq Gujjar, General Secretary of the Lahore Tax Bar Association. The association’s leadership for the 2026-27 session includes Rana Saqib Munir as President, Mian Usman Javaid as Vice President, Farooq Gujjar as General Secretary, Saad Ayub Khan as Finance Secretary and Ali Raza Cheema as Joint Secretary.

The training comes at a time when online filing has become an important part of tax return submission procedures, making familiarity with digital tax systems relevant for tax practitioners and other professionals working with income tax returns. By bringing the PRAL team from Islamabad to Lahore for hands-on training, the Lahore Tax Bar Association is providing its members with an opportunity to receive direct instruction on the Tax Year 2026 filing process. The session will specifically address IRIS-based filing, Tax Year 2026 return forms and the Asaan Small Traders Fixed Tax Scheme, giving the event a focused agenda around current tax filing requirements. The Lahore Tax Bar Association has encouraged members to attend the seminar and take part in the practical training session. The event will be held at the association’s Tax House premises in Lahore on August 25, with the session scheduled to start at 3:00 PM sharp.
