ICMA Pakistan President Muhammad Yasin, FCMA, along with members of the organisation’s Executive Committee, is scheduled to visit Islamabad and Peshawar as part of the Nationwide Connect 2026 initiative. The planned engagements will provide opportunities for members, students and faculty to interact with the institute’s leadership, share their views and discuss the future direction of the professional accounting body.
According to the announcement, the Islamabad engagement will take place on October 17, 2026, followed by a visit to Peshawar on October 18. The two events follow earlier engagements in Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad, extending the initiative to additional cities and bringing the organisation’s leadership into direct contact with its professional and academic communities.
The Nationwide Connect initiative is intended to strengthen communication between ICMA Pakistan’s leadership and the people associated with the institution. Through these meetings, members and students will have an opportunity to raise questions, exchange ideas and share feedback on matters relevant to their professional development and the wider management accounting profession. Faculty members are also included among the participants the leadership plans to engage during the visits.
Muhammad Yasin will lead the engagements alongside the Executive Committee, giving participants an opportunity to interact with senior representatives of the organisation. Direct discussions between leadership and members can provide a channel for communicating professional concerns, understanding the needs of students and exploring ideas that may support the institution’s future activities. The announcement invites participants to contribute their perspectives rather than treating the visits solely as formal meetings.
For students pursuing accounting and finance qualifications, engagement with professional bodies can provide an opportunity to learn more about the profession, its development and the role of professional institutions. Meetings with leadership may also allow students to share their expectations regarding education, career development and their connection with the professional community. Members and faculty can similarly contribute feedback based on their experience within the profession and academic environment.
The visits also follow engagements in Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad, indicating that Nationwide Connect 2026 is being conducted across multiple locations. By taking the initiative to Islamabad and Peshawar, ICMA Pakistan is continuing its outreach to members and students in different parts of the country. The programme’s stated focus is on participation, communication and collective input into the institution’s future.
ICMA Pakistan has encouraged members, students and faculty in both cities to join the upcoming engagements and share their ideas with the institute’s leadership. The Islamabad visit is scheduled for October 17, while the Peshawar engagement will follow on October 18, 2026. Further details about the venues and session timings were not included in the announcement.
The Nationwide Connect 2026 initiative places direct engagement with the professional community at the centre of its activities. Through the upcoming meetings, ICMA Pakistan’s president and Executive Committee aim to hear from participants and encourage their contribution to the future of the organisation and the management accounting profession in Pakistan.
