Jazz Wins HR Pinnacle Award for Innovation in Workforce Learning and Data Skills

Jazz, one of Pakistan’s largest digital operators, has been honored with the prestigious HR Pinnacle Award for Most Innovative Learning & Development, underscoring its commitment to creating a culture of continuous growth and future-focused skills. This award places Jazz among industry leaders recognized for transforming talent development into a strategic lever that drives meaningful business change.

At the heart of this recognition are two standout programs that illustrate how Jazz is equipping its workforce to thrive in an increasingly digital and data-driven landscape. As part of its evolution into a full-scale ServiceCo—a company focused on delivering diverse digital services beyond connectivity—Jazz partnered with INSEAD Asia to roll out the LEAP program. This initiative trained 47 senior leaders in customer-centric strategy, advanced decision-making, and AI-enabled business models, aligning top management with the company’s broader digital ambitions.

Parallel to this, Jazz launched an in-house Data Science Certification Program designed to elevate data literacy across its organization. This program certified 289 employees in practical tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Python, embedding analytics capabilities within various functions. Impressively, over 86 percent of participants have already put these new skills to work, driving tangible improvements in processes and decision-making.

Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, commented on the significance of this achievement, noting that continuous learning is deeply ingrained in the company’s DNA. “At Jazz, continuous learning isn’t just a value—it’s fundamental to who we are. Whether it’s preparing our leadership to manage complex shifts or empowering employees with critical future skills, we are building a culture that prizes curiosity, innovation, and adaptability. This award validates how we live out our principle to ‘Stay Curious, Learn Continuously,’ ensuring our teams lead change proactively rather than reactively.”

These focused talent initiatives directly support Jazz’s strategic pivot toward becoming an integrated digital services powerhouse. The company now serves over 100 million Pakistanis through platforms that span fintech, entertainment, InsurTech, cloud enterprise solutions, and gaming. This transformation marks a deliberate shift from providing basic connectivity to enabling capabilities that can uplift communities, businesses, and the wider economy through technology.

Industry observers point out that by embedding such robust learning and data programs, Jazz is not only future-proofing its own operations but also contributing to Pakistan’s broader digital ecosystem. As businesses across sectors look to harness data, AI, and advanced customer engagement models, having a workforce that is skilled, adaptable, and aligned with strategic objectives becomes critical.

The HR Pinnacle Award serves as both recognition and reinforcement of Jazz’s efforts to keep its people at the forefront of change. By investing heavily in leadership excellence and widespread data competence, Jazz is positioning itself to lead Pakistan’s digital future—not just by rolling out innovative products, but by nurturing the human capital that drives them forward.
