Mobilink Bank Wins ‘Best Microfinance Bank’ Award for Digital and Financial Inclusion

The recognition highlights Mobilink Bank’s innovative use of fintech solutions to create a digitally inclusive ecosystem, reflecting its broader mission to prepare Pakistan for a sustainable, technology-driven future. The award also reinforces the institution’s pivotal role in empowering marginalized communities, particularly women, by providing them with financial tools and resources to achieve economic independence.

Mobilink Bank has become a leader in financial inclusion through several innovative initiatives. The bank’s Women Inspirational Network (WIN) program has equipped over 20,000 women with financial and digital literacy skills and aims to onboard an additional 50,000 women into the formal banking system by 2026, in collaboration with Care International Pakistan. Additionally, the bank advocates for women’s inheritance rights through awareness campaigns and has introduced a digital inheritance calculator on its ‘DOST’ app, an industry-first innovation aimed at empowering women with accurate share calculations and informed decision-making.

In the fiscal year 2023-2024, the Mobilink Bank School of Learning delivered over 83,000 hours of training to improve the digital skills of employees and entrepreneurs. Moreover, through the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP-II), the bank educated 2,780 rural beneficiaries, 71% of whom were women. This initiative earned Mobilink Bank the ‘Best NFLP Team Award’ from the State Bank of Pakistan, highlighting its success in addressing the financial literacy gap.
