NIBAF Hosts Currency Note Design and Pre-Press Module for PSPC Leadership Program

NIBAF Pakistan successfully conducted a specialized training module titled “Introduction to Design & Pre-Press of Currency Notes” as part of the PSPC Leadership Induction Program (PLIP) – Batch-3, reinforcing its role in developing technical and leadership capabilities within Pakistan’s financial and currency management ecosystem. The session was held on January 12, 2026, at the NIBAF Pakistan Islamabad Campus.

The module was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the processes involved in the conceptualization, design, and pre-press preparation of currency notes. These processes form a critical foundation for secure printing operations and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and credibility of a country’s currency.

The training was delivered by experienced professionals from the field, including Mr. Liaquat, Deputy General Manager Design, and Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Sadiq, Deputy Manager Printing. Drawing on their technical expertise, the trainers guided participants through key aspects of currency note design, including visual elements, layout considerations, and security features that are integrated at the design stage to prevent counterfeiting.

In addition to design principles, the session covered pre-press processes, which serve as a crucial bridge between design and printing. Participants were introduced to the technical checks, preparation standards, and quality controls required before currency notes move into full-scale production. Emphasis was placed on precision, accuracy, and coordination between design and printing teams to ensure consistency and security throughout the process.

Officials said the module helped participants develop a clearer understanding of how technical decisions made during design and pre-press stages directly impact the effectiveness of secure printing operations. The session also highlighted the importance of confidentiality, process discipline, and adherence to international best practices in currency production.

The PSPC Leadership Induction Program aims to equip emerging leaders with both managerial and technical exposure relevant to Pakistan’s financial and institutional landscape. By including modules focused on currency design and printing, the program seeks to broaden participants’ understanding of specialized operations that underpin monetary systems but often remain outside conventional leadership training.

NIBAF Pakistan continues to play a central role in capacity building by offering structured, practical, and domain-specific learning opportunities. The successful completion of this module under PLIP Batch-3 reflects the institute’s ongoing commitment to strengthening institutional knowledge and preparing future leaders for complex operational environments within the financial sector.
