The National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) Pakistan is set to organize a one-day workshop titled “AI Ready Banker: Practical AI for Modern Banking” at its Karachi Campus on October 6, 2026. The training is designed to provide banking professionals with practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI and emerging technologies relevant to modern banking operations. The session will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the training delivered online by the facilitator while the NIBAF team remains present at the Karachi Campus to assist participants in the classroom.
The workshop will be conducted by Noor Surani, a trainer, coach and Artificial Intelligence and automation specialist. Surani specializes in Artificial Intelligence, particularly Generative AI and emerging technologies, and has professional experience in areas including Robotic Process Automation and automation frameworks. His background includes an MBA in Management Information Systems, along with certifications as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Application Specialist and Certified SCRUM Master.
According to NIBAF Pakistan, the training will focus on practical applications of Artificial Intelligence for professionals working in the banking sector. The programme is intended to help participants understand how emerging AI capabilities can be applied within modern banking environments. Its emphasis on practical learning is aimed at providing professionals with knowledge that can be connected to workplace processes, automation requirements and digital transformation initiatives.
Surani’s professional approach to training centers on hands-on learning, collaboration and solutions-driven environments. His work involves Artificial Intelligence, automation and product development, with a focus on helping organizations and professionals understand and apply emerging technologies. Through the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to engage with AI-related concepts and automation practices under the guidance of a specialist with experience across these areas.
The workshop will take place at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus, although the facilitator will conduct the training remotely. NIBAF’s team will be available at the campus to provide assistance to participants during the session. This arrangement will allow the institute to conduct the programme in a classroom-supported environment while enabling the facilitator to deliver the training online.
The training investment has been set at PKR 25,000 plus applicable tax per participant. NIBAF has set October 5, 2026, as the last date for nominations and registrations for the workshop. Banking professionals and other eligible participants interested in attending are required to complete the nomination and registration process before the stated deadline.
