NIBAF Pakistan Announces Two-Day Credit Structuring and Risk Management Workshop

NIBAF Pakistan has announced a specialized two-day executive workshop focused on Credit Structuring and Risk Management, scheduled to take place at its Islamabad Campus on November 11 and 12, 2026. The program is aimed at banking and financial sector professionals who are involved in credit assessment, facility structuring, risk management, branch operations, internal audit and related functions. The workshop is being positioned as an executive-level training opportunity for professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of credit structures and risk-related practices within banking operations.

The workshop will be conducted over two full days, with sessions scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. NIBAF Pakistan has set the training investment at PKR 36,000 plus applicable tax per participant. The program will be held at the institute’s Islamabad Campus, providing participants with an opportunity to take part in an in-person professional development program focused specifically on credit and risk management.

According to the details shared by NIBAF Pakistan, the workshop is designed for a broad range of banking professionals whose responsibilities involve credit and financial risk. The target audience includes relationship managers, credit officers and analysts, branch managers, risk management professionals, corporate and SME bankers, internal auditors, credit administration staff and management trainees. The range of participants targeted for the program reflects the role of credit decisions across multiple functions within banking institutions, from customer and relationship management to credit analysis, administration, risk oversight and audit.

The training will be facilitated by Mr. Faheem Ahmed Qureshi, former Country Head and Head of Credit at Askari Bank. Qureshi brings more than 30 years of experience across central and commercial banking. His professional background includes bank inspection, risk management, corporate leasing and internal audit, along with experience in corporate and investment banking. His expertise also covers credit governance and the structuring of complex financial facilities, areas that form an important part of the workshop’s subject focus.

The inclusion of an experienced banking professional as facilitator is intended to provide participants with exposure to practical aspects of credit structuring and risk management. Professionals working in credit-related roles routinely need to evaluate financial information, assess risks and structure facilities according to the requirements and circumstances of borrowers. Credit governance also requires coordination between different banking functions to ensure that lending decisions are supported by appropriate assessment and controls.

The workshop is also relevant to professionals working with corporate and SME clients, where financing requirements can vary significantly depending on the nature of the business, financial position and facility structure. Relationship managers and credit teams are often required to work together when assessing financing proposals, while risk management and internal audit functions provide additional oversight of credit processes. Training that brings these areas together can help professionals understand how different functions contribute to responsible credit decisions and risk controls.

NIBAF Pakistan has set November 10, 2026, as the last date for nominations for the workshop. Interested organisations and professionals can register by contacting the institute through the email addresses provided for nominations and registration. The registration contacts are registration@nibaf.gov.pk and marketing@nibaf.org.pk. Participants can also contact NIBAF Pakistan through 021-35277511 and 051-9269850, while WhatsApp registration support is available at 0303-0652963.

The two-day program comes as a professional training opportunity for banking personnel seeking focused exposure to credit structuring and risk management. With participants expected from relationship management, credit, branch banking, audit, risk and corporate banking functions, the workshop will bring together professionals whose responsibilities are closely connected to the management of credit facilities and associated risks. The program is scheduled for November 11 and 12, while nominations will remain open until November 10, 2026.
