NIBAF Karachi Announces Digital Literacy and AI Readiness Training for Finance Professionals

National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) Pakistan is set to conduct a specialized training programme focused on digital literacy and artificial intelligence readiness for finance professionals at its Karachi Campus on October 29, 2026. The one-day programme is designed for professionals working across finance, accounting, auditing, risk management, compliance and related functions as financial institutions continue to adopt digital tools and emerging technologies in their operations.

The training, titled “Digital Literacy and AI Readiness for Finance Professionals,” will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi Campus. The participation fee has been set at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. NIBAF has invited nominations from professionals and organisations interested in developing their understanding of digital technologies and artificial intelligence within finance-related roles.

The programme is aimed at a broad group of finance professionals, including finance managers and officers, accountants, financial analysts, internal auditors, risk management professionals, fraud risk and forensic professionals, compliance officers, as well as senior management and finance leaders. The focus on these professional groups reflects the growing use of technology in financial analysis, governance, risk functions and organisational decision-making.

The session will be facilitated by Muhammad Shehzad Dhedhi, FCA, Founder of CFO Club Pakistan and CEO of ESGHexa. Dhedhi is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with more than 24 years of global experience spanning financial strategy, corporate governance and corporate banking. His professional experience includes work with institutions such as HBL, Credit Suisse and Bank Alfalah.

According to the information shared by NIBAF, Dhedhi specialises in executive coaching, institutional transformation and helping finance professionals develop strategic leadership capabilities. His experience across financial and corporate environments is expected to form part of the training’s focus on preparing finance professionals to work effectively with modern digital tools and changing technology-driven business processes.

The programme comes as digital technologies become increasingly relevant to financial functions, where professionals are required to work with technology-enabled systems for analysis, reporting, risk assessment, compliance and other organisational processes. Developing digital literacy and awareness of artificial intelligence can help finance teams understand how emerging tools may affect their existing responsibilities and support changes within financial institutions and businesses.

NIBAF has set October 28, 2026, as the last date for nominations and registration for the programme. Professionals and organisations seeking to participate can contact NIBAF through registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk. For further information and registration assistance, the institute has also provided contact numbers 021-35277511 and 051-9269850, while WhatsApp assistance is available at 0303-0652963.

The Karachi training is positioned as a professional development opportunity for finance-sector personnel seeking greater exposure to digital technologies and artificial intelligence. By bringing together finance professionals from areas including accounting, auditing, risk, compliance and management, the programme is intended to address the changing technology requirements of financial roles and support greater awareness of digital capabilities within the finance profession.
