NIBAF Pakistan Concludes Module II of Islamic Banking Certificate Course in Lahore

NIBAF Pakistan has successfully concluded Module II of its Islamic Banking Certificate Course, IBCC 81, at its Lahore Campus, providing commercial bank officers with specialised training in Islamic banking practices and Shariah compliance. The six day module was conducted from August 17 to August 22, 2026, in a face to face format.

The training programme was designed for commercial bank officers and focused on strengthening professional knowledge relevant to Islamic banking operations. The programme was held at the NIBAF Pakistan Lahore Campus, bringing banking professionals together for an intensive classroom based learning experience.

Module II of the Islamic Banking Certificate Course featured faculty members from different areas of the banking and Shariah compliance sector. Their professional backgrounds provided participants with exposure to both Shariah related considerations and practical banking functions.

The first two days of the programme were conducted by Mufti Rafey Ashraf Usmani, who serves as a Shariah Board Member at The Bank of Punjab. His participation brought a specialised Shariah perspective to the training and provided participants with guidance relevant to Islamic banking and Shariah compliant financial practices.

Day three was led by Imran Yusuf Sheikh, Head of Business Transformation at Faysal Bank. His involvement brought a business transformation perspective to the course, connecting Islamic banking education with operational and organisational aspects of the banking industry.

The fourth day featured Muhammad Talha from Allied Bank Limited. His participation added another banking industry perspective to the module and contributed to the professional learning experience for the participating commercial bank officers.

The final two days were conducted by Syed Qutub ud din Haider, Manager Shariah Compliance at BankIslami Pakistan. His role in Shariah compliance provided participants with exposure to compliance related aspects of Islamic banking and the practical requirements involved in maintaining Shariah aligned banking operations.

The six day programme was conducted entirely through face to face sessions at the Lahore Campus. The format allowed participating banking professionals to engage directly with faculty members and focus on the technical and Shariah related aspects covered during the module.

NIBAF Pakistan has positioned the Islamic Banking Certificate Course as part of its professional development activities for banking sector personnel. The programme provides participants with structured training related to Islamic banking, while the involvement of banking and Shariah professionals gives the course a combination of technical and practical perspectives.

The participation of professionals from The Bank of Punjab, Faysal Bank, Allied Bank Limited and BankIslami Pakistan also brought experience from different institutions into the six day programme. The faculty represented banking, business transformation and Shariah compliance functions, giving participants exposure to different areas relevant to Islamic banking operations.

The completion of Module II marks another training activity conducted by NIBAF Pakistan to develop the capabilities of banking professionals. The programme ran from August 17 through August 22 and formed part of the Islamic Banking Certificate Course IBCC 81.

NIBAF Pakistan congratulated all participants following the successful completion of the module.
