SMCPL Warns Investors of Fake Accounts and Deepfake Content Using Arif Habib’s Identity

Safe Mix Concrete Limited has cautioned investors and members of the public against fraudulent social media accounts, online pages and telephone calls that are allegedly misusing the name and identity of Arif Habib, Sponsor of the company and Chairman of Arif Habib Group. The company said fake accounts and pages have been created across platforms including TikTok and Facebook, while fraudulent callers are also contacting clients of Arif Habib Group and other members of the public in connection with unauthorized investment opportunities.

According to Safe Mix Concrete Limited, the fraudulent activity involves the unauthorized use of Arif Habib’s name, photograph, voice and likeness. The company specifically warned that AI-generated and deepfake video content is also being used as part of the activity. Such content can make fraudulent investment promotions appear authentic by using manipulated media featuring a known business personality, potentially misleading members of the public into believing that the investment schemes are officially backed or endorsed.

The company said the fraudulent accounts and communications are being used to solicit funds through fake and unauthorized investment schemes. Safe Mix Concrete Limited categorically denied any connection between Arif Habib, the company or any entity within Arif Habib Group and the investment schemes being promoted through these channels. The company clarified that neither Arif Habib nor the group has launched, endorsed, sponsored or otherwise become associated with any such investment scheme, platform, account, page or telephone-based solicitation.

Safe Mix Concrete Limited further stated that it has no affiliation with the fraudulent content, accounts, callers or any websites and applications promoting the unauthorized claims. The warning covers the various forms of communication being used by individuals behind the activity, including social media pages, online content and direct telephone calls. The company has urged investors and members of the public to treat such communications with caution and avoid making decisions based on information distributed through unauthorized channels.

The latest warning follows an earlier public caution concerning similar activity conducted using Arif Habib’s name. The company noted that Arif Habib Limited had previously issued a public notice dated July 31, 2026, filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, regarding fraudulent activities of this nature. The latest alert indicates that the misuse of the identity has continued through additional online accounts, digital content and other methods of communication.

Safe Mix Concrete Limited has also placed a public caution notice on its official website to alert stakeholders about the fraudulent activity. In addition, the company lodged a formal complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency on September 4, 2026. The complaint seeks registration of a case, investigation into the individuals responsible and the removal or blocking of the fraudulent content. The company said it is pursuing available legal remedies against those involved in the activity.

Investors and members of the public have been strongly advised not to engage with or rely on unauthorized investment-related content and calls associated with the fraudulent accounts. The warning is particularly relevant as manipulated digital content, including AI-generated and deepfake material, can be used to imitate public figures and create the appearance of legitimacy around false financial offers. Verifying investment information through authorized channels remains important before providing funds or personal information.

The company clarified that Arif Habib Limited is the only authorized entity within Arif Habib Group for investment-related information and services. It also stated that official announcements and communications are disseminated through the respective company’s official website and the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Investors seeking information about investment services connected with the group have therefore been advised to rely on these authorized communication channels rather than social media accounts, websites, applications or telephone solicitations making unverified claims.
