NIBAF Pakistan Announces November 10 Workshop on Excel, AI and Chatbot Integration for Banking Professionals

The National Institute of Banking and Finance Pakistan (NIBAF Pakistan) has announced an executive hands-on workshop focused on Smart Excel, artificial intelligence and chatbot integration for the banking sector. The one-day training programme will take place on November 10, 2026, at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi Campus. The workshop is designed to help banking professionals develop practical skills in productivity software, data management and the use of emerging AI tools in everyday professional activities.

The programme will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing participants with a full day of training. NIBAF Pakistan has set the training investment at Rs18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. The institute has invited interested organisations and professionals to submit nominations by November 6, 2026, ahead of the scheduled workshop.

The training will be facilitated by Ms. Sumaira Ghouri, a corporate trainer, lecturer and public speaker with more than 12 years of professional experience. She is identified in the programme announcement as Pakistan’s first female Microsoft Office corporate trainer. According to the information shared by NIBAF Pakistan, she has trained and taught more than 2,500 business professionals across leading institutions. Her areas of specialisation include corporate productivity software, data management and the integration of emerging artificial intelligence tools into regular workplace processes.

The workshop’s focus reflects the growing importance of digital skills within financial institutions. Banking operations increasingly involve the handling of large volumes of information, preparation of reports, data analysis and communication across different departments. Employees are expected to work efficiently with digital tools while maintaining accuracy and managing information in a structured manner. Advanced spreadsheet skills can support these responsibilities by helping professionals organise data, perform calculations and prepare reports more effectively.

Artificial intelligence is also becoming relevant to the banking workplace, particularly in tasks involving information processing, productivity support and routine administrative activities. Familiarity with AI tools can help professionals understand how these technologies may be incorporated into existing workflows. Chatbot integration represents another area of interest, as conversational systems can support information access and automate certain types of interactions. However, their effective use requires an understanding of their capabilities, limitations and appropriate application within organisational processes.

By combining Excel, AI and chatbot integration in one programme, NIBAF Pakistan is bringing together several areas of technology that are increasingly connected to workplace productivity. The hands-on format is intended to provide participants with practical exposure rather than limiting the session to general discussions about digital transformation. The programme is particularly relevant to banking professionals seeking to strengthen their technical capabilities and understand how digital tools can support their daily responsibilities.

For banks and financial institutions, employee training is an important part of adapting to changes in technology and operational requirements. As digital services and data-driven processes expand, staff members need opportunities to improve their ability to use relevant software and understand emerging technologies. Training in spreadsheet applications, AI-assisted tasks and chatbot systems can contribute to more efficient working practices when supported by appropriate organisational policies and controls.

The Karachi workshop will provide banking professionals with an opportunity to learn from an experienced corporate trainer in a structured training environment. Its combination of productivity software and emerging technology topics also reflects the broader need for continuous professional development across the financial sector.

NIBAF Pakistan has set November 6, 2026, as the last date for nominations and registrations.
