Khawaja Shoaib Hassan Joins Khushhali Microfinance Bank as Chief SAM to Strengthen Asset Recovery

Khawaja Shoaib Hassan, a seasoned banking professional with more than 23 years of experience in commercial and microfinance banking, has been appointed Chief SAM at Khushhali Microfinance Bank Limited. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening the bank’s asset recovery framework and driving strategic initiatives in portfolio management, default control, and recovery efficiency.

Throughout his career, Mr. Shoaib has held key leadership positions at prominent institutions including United Bank Ltd., MCB Bank Ltd., and Standard Chartered Bank. He has been instrumental in containing non-performing loans (NPLs), managing delinquency, and optimizing recovery-driven business processes, consistently contributing to overall P&L performance.

At Khushhali Microfinance Bank, Mr. Shoaib’s responsibilities include enhancing asset quality, improving recovery outcomes, and ensuring sustainable business performance through robust default management, policy compliance, portfolio monitoring, and internal controls.

Known for his strategic insight and operational excellence, he has also demonstrated strong leadership in building high-performing teams across debt collections, recoveries, and litigation management. His expertise is expected to reinforce Khushhali Microfinance Bank’s focus on efficient financial management while supporting its mission to expand access to microfinance services across Pakistan.
