NIBAF Pakistan to Host Training on Agentic AI and No-Code Automation for Banking Operations

The National Institute of Banking and Finance Pakistan has announced a new executive training workshop titled Agentic AI and No-Code Automation for Banking Operations, scheduled to take place on August 4, 2026, at its Karachi campus. The intensive single-day face-to-face program is designed to equip financial sector professionals, operational leaders, and technology practitioners with practical tools to automate complex workflows and leverage autonomous artificial intelligence agents across commercial banking operations.

As financial institutions across Pakistan face increasing pressure to streamline operational workflows, reduce administrative overhead, and improve transaction processing speeds, the integration of artificial intelligence and no-code automation platforms has emerged as a key strategic priority. The workshop aims to bridge the gap between emerging technological capabilities and operational banking practices, demonstrating how commercial lenders can deploy modern digital tools without requiring extensive software development infrastructure or specialized coding skills.

The comprehensive curriculum is structured around four primary instructional modules, beginning with a foundational overview of artificial intelligence automation within the banking sector. Participants will examine the operational distinctions between traditional manual processes, standard rule-based automation, and advanced artificial intelligence solutions. The module clarifies the functional differences between basic conversational chatbots, assistant copilots, and fully agentic artificial intelligence systems, helping bankers identify high-value operational use cases where automation can deliver immediate performance improvements while establishing clear boundaries where human intervention must remain mandatory.

A major focus of the workshop centers on demystifying agentic artificial intelligence and its practical deployment in regulated financial environments. Attendees will explore how autonomous artificial intelligence agents receive high-level organizational goals, utilize external digital tools, and execute complex multi-step tasks independently. The curriculum emphasizes the vital role of human oversight in supervised autonomous systems, providing practical frameworks to mitigate operational risks, maintain audit trails, and prevent uncontrolled artificial intelligence agent behaviors within sensitive banking environments.

In addition to foundational concepts, the training delivers hands-on instruction in prompt engineering tailored specifically for banking automation. Participants will learn how to construct role-based and context-aware prompts, implement output formatting rules, and integrate verification and escalation instructions into automated workflows. The module also addresses strict data privacy and confidentiality protocols necessary to protect proprietary financial information and customer records when interacting with commercial language models.

The practical component of the training covers no-code automation fundamentals, guiding participants through workflow design using triggers, actions, filters, and logical conditions. Attendees will gain hands-on experience connecting banking applications using webhooks and application programming interfaces while testing automated workflows with dummy data across popular platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, ChatGPT, Gemini, and spreadsheet applications. The module also covers error handling mechanisms, logging protocols, and human approval steps to ensure operational reliability.

The workshop will be facilitated by Sajid Majeed, an artificial intelligence trainer and data analytics practitioner with extensive experience in Python programming and financial analytics. Nominations for the single-day session remain open through August 3, 2026, with a registration fee set at 18,000 rupees plus applicable taxes per participant. Coordinated under the supervision of training manager Azim Zuberi, the initiative reinforces the ongoing commitment of NIBAF Pakistan to enhance digital capabilities, foster technological innovation, and prepare Pakistan’s financial workforce for the future of automated banking services.
