NIBAF Pakistan has announced an executive masterclass titled “Next-Gen Banking with AI, Automation & Analytics,” scheduled for November 3, 2026, at its Karachi campus. The one-day training programme is designed to explore how artificial intelligence, automation and data analytics can be applied in the banking and financial services sector. The session will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a participation fee of Rs18,000 plus applicable taxes. The programme is intended for professionals seeking to understand the role of emerging technologies in banking operations, data-driven decision-making and the development of more efficient financial services.
The masterclass will be facilitated by Irfan Bakaly, who is described by NIBAF Pakistan as Pakistan’s first Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in Excel. According to the announcement, Bakaly has more than 20 years of experience in technology training, working with financial institutions and corporate organisations across Pakistan. His areas of expertise include data analytics, automation and technology education. The programme will draw on this background to examine the use of technology in professional environments, particularly where financial institutions handle large volumes of information and rely on timely, accurate reporting to support business decisions.
Artificial intelligence and automation are becoming increasingly relevant to banking as institutions seek ways to improve operational efficiency, analyse information and reduce repetitive manual work. Automation can support routine processes such as report preparation, data processing and recurring administrative tasks, while analytics can help professionals identify patterns and interpret business performance. Artificial intelligence can also assist with selected analytical and information-processing activities, provided its use is supported by appropriate controls, reliable data and human oversight. Training programmes covering these areas can help banking professionals understand potential applications while considering the practical requirements of adopting new tools within regulated financial environments.
The announced programme also highlights the importance of developing technology skills among professionals working in financial services. As banks expand digital channels and invest in data-driven processes, employees increasingly need to understand how technology can support their existing responsibilities. Practical knowledge of analytics and automation can help teams manage information more efficiently, prepare reports and improve the consistency of routine workflows. However, effective implementation also requires attention to data security, accuracy, regulatory obligations and the suitability of tools for specific tasks. The masterclass provides a professional learning opportunity centred on these technology themes, although the announcement does not specify a detailed session-by-session agenda or individual learning outcomes.
Bakaly is also the creator of the YouTube technology channel “Irfan Wazir Ali,” which features more than 525 analytical tutorials, according to NIBAF Pakistan. His experience in training and digital education forms part of the programme’s stated background. The use of tutorials and practical learning resources can help professionals build familiarity with analytical concepts and technology tools beyond a single training session. For participants, the value of the masterclass will depend on how the material relates to their work responsibilities and whether they can apply the concepts to their own banking or corporate processes.
Nominations and registrations for the masterclass will close on November 2, 2026, one day before the scheduled event. Interested participants can contact NIBAF Pakistan through registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk. Further information is available by telephone at 021-35277511 and 051-9269850, or through WhatsApp at 0303-0652963. The training will take place at NIBAF Pakistan’s Karachi campus, and the announced fee is Rs18,000 plus tax per participant.
The initiative comes as financial institutions continue to assess how emerging technologies can support changing operational and analytical requirements. By bringing AI, automation and analytics together in a dedicated executive training programme, NIBAF Pakistan is offering banking and corporate professionals an opportunity to explore these areas within a structured learning environment. The November 3 session will focus on technology-related capabilities that are increasingly relevant to modern financial services, while registration remains open until the preceding day.
