Saudi Falcon Vision Group Explores Up To $10 Billion Investment Across Pakistan’s Infrastructure And Technology Sectors

Saudi Arabia’s Falcon Vision Group has expressed interest in investing up to $10 billion in Pakistan, signalling renewed interest from Gulf investors in the country’s infrastructure and technology sectors. The development emerged during a meeting between Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and a high-level delegation representing Falcon Vision Group, overseas Pakistanis and media professionals. The discussions focused on expanding investment opportunities, strengthening economic cooperation and highlighting Pakistan’s investment incentives for international businesses.

The delegation was led by Muhammad Tariq Ghaus, Vice Chairman and President of Falcon Vision Company, headquartered in Jeddah. During the meeting, Ghaus provided an overview of the group’s business portfolio, explaining that Falcon Vision operates across infrastructure, construction, technology and several industrial sectors. He informed the minister that Saudi investors are actively reviewing opportunities in Pakistan and have earmarked investments of up to $10 billion across multiple industries. The proposed investment reflects growing interest from Saudi businesses in projects that can contribute to Pakistan’s economic development while supporting long-term commercial partnerships between the two countries.

Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh welcomed the group’s interest and described it as a positive indication of international confidence in Pakistan’s economy and investment environment. He assured the delegation that the Board of Investment remains committed to facilitating investors throughout every stage of the investment process. According to the minister, the government continues to pursue policies designed to encourage foreign direct investment by reducing administrative barriers and creating a more supportive business environment for both domestic and international companies.

During the discussions, the minister highlighted several incentives currently available to investors. He noted that businesses operating within Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones can benefit from income tax exemptions extending until 2035, along with duty concessions on imported machinery required for industrial projects. He also pointed to the role of Business Facilitation Centres, which operate as one-window platforms where investors can complete registration, licensing and other regulatory procedures through a single system. Sheikh further stated that Pakistan allows full repatriation of profits, enabling foreign investors to transfer 100 percent of their earnings abroad while receiving equal treatment alongside local investors under the country’s investment framework.

The minister acknowledged that energy costs and administrative procedures remain important considerations for investors and said the government is taking measures to improve these areas. He emphasised that ongoing reforms are intended to make Pakistan more competitive for international businesses seeking opportunities in manufacturing, infrastructure, technology and industrial development.

The meeting also included discussions on future technology-focused projects. Delegation member Maqbool, who is associated with real estate developments including J7 Emporium, briefed the minister on plans to establish a Special Technology Zone. He emphasised the importance of creating stronger coordination between Special Technology Zones and Special Economic Zones to support technology-driven investment and industrial growth. In response, Sheikh stated that regulations governing Special Economic Zones have been amended to allow greater participation from the private sector in establishing and managing these zones, opening additional opportunities for private investment in industrial infrastructure.

Another delegation member, Colonel Jamshed, informed the minister about a joint venture to establish a modern shopping mall in Chakwal. He highlighted the district’s educated workforce and skilled human resources as strengths that could support future commercial development. The discussion reflected broader interest among investors in combining real estate, commercial infrastructure and technology-led projects as part of long-term investment plans in Pakistan.

The proposed investment by Falcon Vision Group remains under evaluation, but the discussions underscore Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign capital through policy reforms, investment incentives and improved facilitation mechanisms. If realised, the planned investment could contribute significantly to infrastructure expansion, technology development and broader economic activity while strengthening investment ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
