NIBAF Pakistan has announced a one day executive training programme on “Generative and Agentic AI for Bankers,” aimed at banking professionals seeking to understand the growing role of artificial intelligence in financial services. The intensive training session will be held on September 4, 2026, at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus and will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The programme has been designed to provide participants with exposure to generative artificial intelligence and agentic artificial intelligence and their potential applications within banking.
The training programme is scheduled as a full day executive session, with participants expected to attend from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The training investment has been set at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per person. NIBAF Pakistan has positioned the programme as an executive level learning opportunity for professionals working in the banking sector and related areas who want to develop their understanding of emerging artificial intelligence technologies and their relevance to financial institutions.
Generative artificial intelligence has become increasingly relevant to financial institutions as banks examine ways to use technology for content generation, information processing, customer support, workflow assistance and other business functions. Agentic artificial intelligence represents another emerging area in which AI systems can be designed to perform tasks and support multi step workflows with greater levels of autonomy. The training programme will focus specifically on these two areas in the context of banking professionals.
The session will be facilitated by Mr. Irfan Bakaly, a technology trainer with more than 20 years of experience in the technology training field. According to NIBAF Pakistan, he received Pakistan’s first Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award in the Excel category. His professional experience includes working with various institutions and organisations, while he has also developed an active presence as an online technology educator.
Mr. Irfan Bakaly also operates a tutorial YouTube channel under the name “Irfan Wazir Ali,” which has more than 525 videos. His experience in technology training and online education is expected to bring a practical learning perspective to the executive programme. The facilitator’s background in technology education is particularly relevant to a session focused on helping banking professionals understand emerging digital tools and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The programme is being held at a time when financial institutions are increasingly examining the potential applications of artificial intelligence across banking operations. Generative AI can assist with a range of information and productivity tasks, while agentic AI can potentially support more structured workflows. For banking professionals, understanding the capabilities and practical applications of these technologies can help them assess where AI based tools may fit within their respective organisations.
NIBAF Pakistan has set September 3, 2026, as the last date for nominations for the programme. Interested institutions and professionals are required to complete their nominations before the deadline. The one day format allows participants to attend an intensive executive session without requiring an extended training commitment, making the programme suitable for professionals seeking focused exposure to the subject.
The training will take place at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus, providing banking professionals in Karachi and surrounding areas with access to an in person executive learning session. The programme’s focus on generative and agentic artificial intelligence reflects the increasing importance of emerging technologies in the financial services industry and the need for banking professionals to understand how these technologies may affect business processes.
NIBAF Pakistan has provided dedicated contact channels for nominations and further programme details. Interested participants can contact registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk. Additional information is also available through the telephone numbers 021-35277511 and 051-9269850, while WhatsApp enquiries can be made at 0303 0652963.
The executive programme offers banking professionals an opportunity to develop their understanding of two rapidly developing areas of artificial intelligence through a dedicated banking focused training session. With an experienced technology trainer leading the programme, NIBAF Pakistan aims to provide participants with knowledge that can help them better understand the role of generative and agentic AI within the financial services environment.
The September 4 session is part of the broader need for technology focused learning within the banking sector as financial institutions continue to assess new digital capabilities. By focusing specifically on bankers, the programme is intended to connect developments in artificial intelligence with the practical requirements and working environment of financial institutions in Pakistan.
