After 12 years of dedicated service, Ghazanfar Azzam has announced his decision to step down as the President and CEO of Mobilink Bank. Azzam’s tenure has been marked by remarkable growth, solidifying Mobilink Bank’s position as a leader in the Microfinance sector. His leadership was instrumental in driving the bank through rapid digital transformation, enhancing financial stability, business resilience, and future readiness.
Effective April 29, 2024, Mobilink Bank’s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, will assume the role of Interim CEO, pending approval from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Board of Directors (BoD) has initiated the search for the next CEO, who will carry forward the bank’s mission and ensure continued success.
In response to Azzam’s departure, Chairman of the BoD at Mobilink Bank and CEO of Jazz, Aamir Ibrahim, expressed gratitude for Azzam’s valuable service and wished him luck in his future endeavors.
