JS Bank has received the Best Digital Experience in Pakistan award at the Asian Experience Awards 2026, recognising the bank’s work in digital banking and customer experience. The awards were organised by Singapore-based Asian Business Review and recognise customer experience initiatives across industries in Asia. JS Bank’s recognition covers its wider digital banking ecosystem, including the JS Mobile App, JS Bot on WhatsApp Banking and the Zindigi platform.
The award reflects the bank’s efforts to bring multiple banking services together through digital channels and make routine financial activities more accessible to customers. JS Bank has developed an ecosystem that combines mobile banking, WhatsApp-based services and artificial intelligence-enabled features. Through these platforms, customers can access banking services without relying exclusively on traditional branch-based interactions, while the bank continues to expand the range of functions available through its digital channels.
A key part of the bank’s digital offering is JS Bot, which enables customers to access a range of banking services through WhatsApp. The service provides customers with a familiar digital interface for interacting with banking services, while reducing the need to switch between different applications for certain routine requirements. The bank has also introduced JSense, described as Pakistan’s first in-app artificial intelligence banking assistant, which allows customers to navigate banking services through conversational interactions.
The bank said its digital platforms have recorded growing customer adoption as users increasingly turn to digital channels for everyday banking activities. These include routine banking requirements, card management and other services that can be handled through digital platforms. The JS Mobile App and Zindigi continue to expand their reach as customer preferences increasingly move toward convenient and accessible digital banking experiences.
The Asian Experience Awards evaluate organisations on their customer experience initiatives, with entries assessed by an independent panel of industry professionals. The recognition for JS Bank therefore focuses on the customer-facing experience delivered through its digital ecosystem rather than a single banking application or service. The combination of mobile banking, WhatsApp Banking and artificial intelligence-enabled assistance formed part of the bank’s broader digital experience offering recognised by the awards.
Commenting on the recognition, Basir Shamsie, President and Chief Executive Officer of JS Bank, said digital innovation remains central to the bank’s approach to banking. He highlighted the bank’s role in introducing several digital banking services in Pakistan, including WhatsApp Banking, while emphasising the objective of delivering a better, safer and more secure banking experience for customers. He also credited the bank’s teams for continuing to develop and expand its digital banking approach.
The recognition adds to JS Bank’s portfolio of international awards associated with digital banking and technology. The bank has continued to invest in digital channels as customer behaviour changes and more banking interactions shift toward mobile and online platforms. Its digital strategy includes services designed to support customers across different touchpoints, from mobile applications and WhatsApp services to conversational artificial intelligence tools.
The award also highlights the broader shift taking place across Pakistan’s banking sector, where financial institutions are expanding digital services to meet demand for faster and more convenient customer interactions. For JS Bank, the Best Digital Experience in Pakistan recognition places its mobile, WhatsApp Banking, Zindigi and artificial intelligence-enabled services among the digital initiatives being recognised at the Asian level for customer experience.
