The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) has announced President’s Connect 2026, an initiative designed to strengthen engagement with its overseas members through interactive online sessions scheduled for October 20 and October 22. The sessions will bring members into direct contact with Muhammad Yasin, President of ICMA Pakistan, and members of the institute’s Executive Committee to discuss professional priorities, exchange ideas and identify areas where the organisation can strengthen its relationship with its international membership. The initiative provides a platform for overseas members to communicate their views and contribute to discussions concerning the development of the institute’s global professional community.
The first online session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT). It is intended for members based in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. By organising a dedicated session for these regions, ICMA Pakistan is providing overseas professionals with an opportunity to engage with the institute’s leadership without having to attend an in-person meeting in Pakistan. The discussion will focus on members’ ideas, priorities and expectations, enabling participants to share their experiences and raise matters they consider important to their professional association.
A second session will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time. This meeting will cater to Gulf branch councils and members associated with Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The separate scheduling of the two sessions allows ICMA Pakistan to organise engagement around different geographical groups while providing overseas members with a dedicated opportunity to communicate directly with the president and Executive Committee representatives. Both meetings will be conducted online, allowing participants to join remotely from their respective locations.
President’s Connect 2026 is intended to encourage an open exchange of perspectives between the institute’s leadership and its overseas membership. Professional associations rely on member participation to understand changing workplace requirements, regional concerns and expectations regarding professional development. For an organisation with members working across different international markets, regular communication can help leadership gain a broader understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by its professional community. The planned discussions are expected to provide members with a channel to express their priorities and contribute suggestions that may inform the institute’s engagement with its overseas network.
ICMA Pakistan has invited overseas members to share their ideas and discuss matters affecting their professional community during the online sessions. The announcement also encourages participants to submit questions in advance, allowing them to prepare their contributions before the meetings take place. Members can register by scanning the respective QR codes provided on the event flyer. Separate registration codes are intended for the relevant sessions, helping participants access the meeting associated with their geographical group. The institute has not publicly detailed a formal agenda, the duration of either session or any specific decisions expected to result from the discussions.
The initiative also highlights the importance of maintaining connections between professional bodies and members working outside their home country. Overseas members can bring experience from different business environments, professional practices and regulatory settings, offering perspectives that may be relevant to the institute’s wider activities. Direct discussions with senior leadership can help facilitate knowledge sharing and give members a structured opportunity to raise questions about their priorities and expectations. Such engagement can also support stronger professional relationships among members who remain connected to Pakistan’s accounting and management profession while pursuing careers internationally.
Through President’s Connect 2026, ICMA Pakistan is seeking to strengthen communication with its international membership and encourage greater participation in the institute’s professional community. The two sessions will feature President Muhammad Yasin and members of the Executive Committee, with the first meeting scheduled for October 20 at 10:00 PM PKT for members in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, followed by the Gulf-focused session on October 22 at 7:00 PM PKT. Overseas members interested in participating have been advised to register using the relevant QR code on the event flyer and submit their questions in advance.
