NIBAF Pakistan Organises Law Enforcement Training Programme for Samba Bank Employees

NIBAF Pakistan has successfully conducted a specialised one-day training programme for Samba Bank employees, focusing on procedures and professional practices for dealing with law enforcement agencies (LEAs). The customised session, titled “How to Deal with Law Enforcement Agencies”, was held on November 5, 2026, at NIBAF Pakistan’s Islamabad Campus. The programme was organised specifically for Samba Bank to equip its banking officials with the knowledge and procedural understanding required to manage interactions with law enforcement authorities while ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements. The session was facilitated by Mr. Kamran Khan and focused on helping participating employees understand the appropriate approach to handling matters involving law enforcement agencies within a banking environment.

The training was designed around the legal, operational and institutional requirements that arise when commercial banks interact with law enforcement authorities. Banking institutions operate within a regulatory framework that requires them to respond appropriately to official requests, cooperate with authorised investigations and maintain proper internal procedures when dealing with external agencies. Such interactions can involve sensitive institutional information, customer-related matters and operational responsibilities, making it important for bank employees to understand the procedures governing these engagements. Through the customised programme, NIBAF Pakistan aimed to provide Samba Bank employees with a structured understanding of how to approach these situations while maintaining professional standards and institutional safeguards.

A central objective of the session was to strengthen participants’ ability to manage interactions with law enforcement agencies effectively without compromising legal compliance or institutional integrity. Employees working in banking operations may encounter situations requiring coordination with different authorities, and a lack of procedural awareness can create challenges for both individuals and institutions. Understanding the appropriate channels of communication, relevant responsibilities and internal processes can help banking officials respond to official requirements in an organised manner. The training therefore addressed the importance of following established procedures and ensuring that interactions with LEAs are handled within the applicable legal and institutional framework.

The programme also highlighted the importance of equipping banking professionals with knowledge that supports effective governance and operational management. Commercial banks are required to maintain internal controls and clear procedures for handling sensitive matters, particularly when dealing with regulatory and law enforcement stakeholders. Training initiatives focused on these areas can help employees understand their responsibilities, improve coordination within their institutions and reduce the possibility of procedural errors. By arranging a customised session for Samba Bank, NIBAF Pakistan provided a learning opportunity tailored to the specific requirements of the participating institution rather than relying on a general training format.

Mr. Kamran Khan facilitated the one-day programme, guiding the participating employees through the subject of dealing with law enforcement agencies in a banking context. The session brought together professional training and practical procedural awareness, with an emphasis on ensuring that officials understand the importance of appropriate responses and compliance when engaging with external authorities. The participation of Samba Bank employees also reflected the institution’s focus on developing staff capabilities in areas connected to legal responsibilities, institutional protection and operational governance.

NIBAF Pakistan continues to provide specialised training and capacity-building programmes for financial institutions, with courses designed around their individual operational and professional requirements. Its customised training approach allows commercial banks to address specific areas where employees require additional knowledge, including legal procedures, regulatory responsibilities, institutional governance and operational management. Such initiatives support the development of banking professionals while helping financial institutions maintain consistent internal practices and strengthen their ability to respond to complex workplace situations.

The November 5 programme forms part of NIBAF Pakistan’s broader efforts to support professional development across the banking industry through targeted learning opportunities. By conducting the session for Samba Bank at its Islamabad Campus, the institute has continued its engagement with commercial banks on issues that directly affect their legal and operational responsibilities. Strengthening employees’ understanding of law enforcement procedures and institutional compliance remains an important part of maintaining responsible banking operations and protecting the integrity of financial institutions.
