Dar, Aurangzeb And Langrial Recommended For Pakistan Civil Awards 2026

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial have been recommended for Pakistan’s civil awards under the proposed Civil Awards 2026 list. The recommendations recognise their public service and are part of a wider list of senior government officials and public figures proposed for national honours.

According to the proposed Civil Awards 2026 list, Ishaq Dar and Muhammad Aurangzeb have been recommended for the Nishan-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civil awards. Rashid Mahmood Langrial has been recommended for the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. The recommendations are based on their public service and contributions in their respective government roles.

The proposed nominations cover senior officials involved in Pakistan’s foreign affairs, economic management and revenue administration. Ishaq Dar currently serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, while Muhammad Aurangzeb holds the portfolio of Minister for Finance and Revenue. Rashid Mahmood Langrial heads the Federal Board of Revenue, which is responsible for the country’s federal tax administration and revenue collection.

The proposed list also includes Establishment and Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema and Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, who have been recommended for the Nishan-i-Imtiaz. Their inclusion places several senior members of the federal government among the officials being considered for the country’s top civil honours in 2026.

Finance Secretary Imdadullah Bosal is also among the senior officials recommended for the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. His nomination comes alongside the recommendation of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial for the same award, reflecting the recognition being proposed for senior officials working in Pakistan’s economic and financial administration.

The Civil Awards are presented to recognise individuals for distinguished services and contributions in different fields. The proposed 2026 list includes recommendations covering senior government officials, with the honours subject to the required approval process before they can be formally conferred.

The recommendations for Ishaq Dar, Muhammad Aurangzeb and Rashid Mahmood Langrial come at a time when economic management, revenue mobilisation and fiscal policy remain important areas of government activity. Dar’s responsibilities include foreign affairs alongside his role as Deputy Prime Minister, while Aurangzeb oversees the federal finance and revenue portfolio. Langrial leads the FBR, which plays a central role in tax collection and implementation of federal revenue policy.

The proposed nominations do not yet represent final conferment of the awards. The Civil Awards 2026 list remains subject to formal approval, after which the honours can officially be announced and conferred on the selected recipients.

If approved, Ishaq Dar and Muhammad Aurangzeb would receive the Nishan-i-Imtiaz, while Rashid Mahmood Langrial would receive the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. The proposed recognition places the three officials among the senior government figures being considered for Pakistan’s prominent civil honours in 2026.

The final outcome will depend on completion of the formal approval process for the proposed Civil Awards 2026 list. Until that process is completed, the recommendations remain proposals rather than officially conferred awards.
