FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Appoints Fauji Foods CEO Usman Zaheer Ahmad

FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) has approved the appointment of Usman Zaheer Ahmad, the outgoing chief executive officer of Fauji Foods, as its new CEO following the resignation of Kashan Hasan. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors and disclosed through a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on September 22, 2026. FCEPL said that Ahmad’s date of joining will be communicated in due course, leaving the executive transition subject to the completion of the relevant notice-period arrangements at his previous employer.

The appointment follows the resignation of Kashan Hasan, who stepped down as both chief executive officer and director of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan. The company disclosed Hasan’s resignation a day earlier and stated that he would continue performing his responsibilities as CEO and director until the completion of his notice period in accordance with applicable requirements. With Ahmad now approved as his successor, FCEPL is preparing for a change in its senior leadership, although the company has not yet specified when the incoming CEO will formally assume his new responsibilities.

The leadership transition is also linked to a change at Fauji Foods, where Ahmad served as CEO from March 1, 2022. Fauji Foods disclosed in a separate notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange dated September 21 that Ahmad had resigned from his position as chief executive officer with effect from September 18, 2026. The company said that Ahmad would continue to perform his duties as CEO until the completion of his notice period. Fauji Foods also stated that its board would appoint a new chief executive officer in due course, leaving both companies to manage executive transitions following the leadership changes.

Ahmad brings more than two decades of corporate, commercial and operational experience gained across local and international markets. He has headed Fauji Foods since March 2022, during which time he served as the company’s chief executive as it operated within Pakistan’s food and dairy sector. His professional background spans corporate and operational responsibilities, while his academic qualifications include an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of the Punjab. His appointment at FCEPL will move him from leading Fauji Foods to taking charge of another major company operating in Pakistan’s dairy industry.

FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan is a publicly listed Pakistani company and operates as a subsidiary of FrieslandCampina Pakistan Holdings B.V. The holding company is owned by Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina UA. FCEPL is involved in the manufacture, processing and sale of dairy products and frozen desserts and also owns and operates a dairy farm. The company’s operations place it within Pakistan’s broader consumer and food sector, with dairy products forming a central part of its business activities.

The appointment of Ahmad comes as FCEPL moves forward with its succession process following Hasan’s departure. While the board has approved the incoming CEO, the company has not yet announced the date on which Ahmad will formally join. Until the respective notice periods are completed, Hasan and Ahmad will continue to have responsibilities at their existing companies under the arrangements disclosed through their respective stock exchange notices. The changes therefore mark an executive transition at both FCEPL and Fauji Foods rather than an immediate change in leadership at either company.

The developments will result in Ahmad moving from Fauji Foods to FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan, while Fauji Foods begins the process of identifying his replacement. FCEPL’s board approval establishes Ahmad as the company’s incoming chief executive, with further details on his joining date expected to be communicated later. The leadership changes have been disclosed through regulatory filings with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, providing the formal basis for the succession process at the two listed food-sector companies.
