JazzCash and itel Pakistan Partner on Digital Payments and Buy Now, Pay Later Solutions

JazzCash has partnered with itel Pakistan to combine digital payment services, Buy Now, Pay Later financing and corporate disbursement solutions, aiming to make affordable devices more accessible to customers across Pakistan. The partnership brings together JazzCash’s payment gateway and financial technology services with itel Pakistan’s device business and Yeylo’s Buy Now, Pay Later offering. Through this collaboration, customers will have access to digital payment options when purchasing devices, while the companies aim to make the buying process more convenient and support wider adoption of cashless transactions.

The partnership was formalised during a signing ceremony held at JazzCash’s Regional Headquarters in Karachi. The agreement was signed by Mr Richard, Country Head of itel Pakistan, and Umair Ali Khan, Head of Enterprise at JazzCash. Representatives from both organisations attended the ceremony, marking the start of a collaboration focused on connecting device purchases with digital financial services. The arrangement brings together the companies’ respective capabilities in payments, device distribution and financing to support customers seeking accessible ways to purchase technology products.

Under the partnership, JazzCash’s payment gateway will support digital payment processing, allowing customers to make payments through electronic channels rather than relying entirely on cash. The inclusion of Yeylo Buy Now, Pay Later services is intended to provide another payment option for eligible customers purchasing affordable devices. Buy Now, Pay Later arrangements generally allow customers to spread payments over an agreed period, subject to the provider’s terms and eligibility requirements. The partnership announcement did not specify financing limits, repayment periods, eligibility criteria or the full range of devices covered by the arrangement.

Corporate disbursement solutions are another component of the collaboration. These services can support businesses in transferring payments to recipients through digital channels, helping simplify payment administration and reduce reliance on manual processes. By combining payment gateway facilities, financing options and corporate disbursements, the partnership is designed to connect several financial services within the device purchasing process. The companies have positioned the collaboration around improving access to affordable technology while increasing the use of digital financial services in Pakistan.

Several representatives from JazzCash and itel Pakistan joined the signing ceremony. JazzCash was represented by Mirza Ahsan Baig and Muhammad Faizan Shaikh, alongside Umair Ali Khan. The itel Pakistan delegation included Mr Jedan, Abdullah Qureshi, Ahmed Ali and Aruba Memon, in addition to Country Head Mr Richard. Their participation reflected the involvement of teams from both organisations in establishing the partnership and bringing together their payment and device-related offerings.

The collaboration comes as digital payment services and mobile technology remain closely connected in Pakistan’s transition toward a more digitally enabled economy. Access to smartphones and other affordable devices can help consumers use mobile wallets, online services and electronic payment channels. At the same time, convenient payment options can make device purchases more manageable for customers who prefer digital transactions or need alternatives to paying the full amount upfront. Integrating these services could help connect device access with broader participation in the digital economy, although the scale of the impact will depend on the products offered and the terms available to customers.

For JazzCash, the agreement extends its role in providing payment infrastructure and enterprise financial services through a collaboration with a device manufacturer. For itel Pakistan, the partnership introduces payment gateway and Buy Now, Pay Later options into the customer purchasing journey. Yeylo’s participation adds a financing component to the arrangement, while corporate disbursement services provide an additional business-focused element. The announcement, however, does not disclose projected transaction volumes, expected customer uptake or financial targets associated with the partnership.

The companies have presented the collaboration as a step toward improving access to affordable devices and making digital payments more accessible. By bringing payment processing, Buy Now, Pay Later services and corporate disbursements together, JazzCash and itel Pakistan aim to support customers and businesses seeking more convenient digital financial options. The partnership also aligns with the broader effort to expand cashless transactions in Pakistan, where the availability of devices and accessible payment services can play an important role in encouraging the use of digital channels.
