Karachi – April 2025: In a major stride toward enhancing financial inclusion and accessibility, JS Bank, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing and innovation-driven financial institutions, has partnered with Instant Cash—a global money transfer brand under the FINTX umbrella—to unveil JS GharPay, the country’s first-ever door-to-door remittance delivery service.
This pioneering service aims to revolutionize how overseas remittances are received in Pakistan, enabling beneficiaries to get funds delivered directly to their doorstep. The offering is designed to bring unprecedented convenience and security to customers, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas, without any service charges.
The official launch of JS GharPay was celebrated at a dedicated event attended by key leadership from both organizations. Present at the launch were Basir Shamsie, President & CEO of JS Bank; Syed Jafar Raza, Group Head – Investment, International & Transactional Banking at JS Bank; Nasir Hussain, Head of International Home Remittances at JS Bank; and Usman Bin Raees, Chief Operating Officer of Instant Cash.
The collaboration addresses a significant challenge faced by millions of remittance recipients across Pakistan who previously had to travel to bank branches, post offices, or agent locations to access their funds. For individuals in remote regions, this often involved long commutes, lost working hours, and additional transportation costs. JS GharPay eliminates these obstacles by bringing banking services directly to the recipient’s home.
“With JS GharPay, we are reshaping how remittances are received in Pakistan. Our aim is to make financial services truly accessible for all, and this initiative is a game-changer, particularly for underserved communities,” said Basir Shamsie, President & CEO of JS Bank. “Our collaboration with Instant Cash reflects our shared commitment to innovation and customer-centric banking.”
This initiative also aligns with the government of Pakistan’s efforts to increase the inflow of remittances through formal banking channels and support the State Bank of Pakistan’s broader vision for financial inclusion. By offering a seamless and secure delivery of remittances, JS GharPay contributes toward expanding the reach of the formal financial ecosystem.
Syed Jafar Raza, Group Head at JS Bank, added, “This partnership reaffirms our dedication to harnessing digital innovation for financial empowerment. We’re proud to partner with a global leader like Instant Cash to deliver convenience and dignity to every remittance receiver.”
Usman Bin Raees, COO of Instant Cash, echoed the sentiment: “We are excited to be part of this ground-breaking initiative. Instant Cash has always believed in empowering communities through accessible financial solutions, and JS GharPay is a direct extension of that philosophy.”
The service is expected to be particularly impactful in rural Pakistan, where physical access to banking infrastructure remains limited. By leveraging JS Bank’s network and Instant Cash’s global remittance channels, the collaboration ensures not just speed and efficiency, but also inclusivity in financial service delivery.
As Pakistan continues to strengthen its digital and financial ecosystem, services like JS GharPay set a new benchmark for fintech innovation—putting the customer at the center of the banking experience and removing traditional barriers to access.
