NIBAF Pakistan is set to conduct a one-day executive training workshop focused on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in financial risk, fraud and customer analytics. The training session, titled “AI and Machine Learning for Financial Risk, Fraud and Customer Analytics,” is scheduled to take place at the NIBAF Pakistan Karachi Campus on September 14, 2026.
The workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is designed to provide participants with practical insights into the application of emerging artificial intelligence technologies in financial analytics. The programme will focus on areas where data-driven tools can support financial institutions in assessing risk, identifying potentially fraudulent activity and improving their understanding of customer information.
NIBAF Pakistan has set the training investment at PKR 18,000 plus applicable tax per participant. The programme is intended for professionals seeking to understand how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be incorporated into financial analysis and related business processes. The training is part of NIBAF Pakistan’s broader focus on developing skills relevant to changing requirements across the financial sector.
The workshop will be facilitated by Sajid Majeed, a trainer with experience in financial analytics, artificial intelligence tools, Agentic AI, large language models and application programming interfaces. His technical background also includes Python, data analytics and artificial intelligence, with the session expected to connect these technologies with practical financial analytics applications.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are increasingly being explored within financial services for analysing large volumes of information and supporting risk-related decisions. Applications can include examining transaction patterns, identifying unusual activity, assessing customer behaviour and generating insights from financial datasets. The workshop’s focus on risk, fraud and customer analytics is therefore relevant to financial professionals working with data-intensive processes.
The training will also introduce participants to technologies such as large language models, application programming interfaces and Agentic AI alongside conventional data analytics and Python-based tools. These technologies can provide financial professionals with additional methods for processing information and developing analytical workflows, particularly as institutions continue to expand their use of digital tools.
NIBAF Pakistan has set September 11, 2026, as the last date for nominations for the workshop. Interested participants can contact the institute through registration@nibaf.gov.pk or marketing@nibaf.org.pk for nominations and further details. The institute has also provided contact numbers 021-35277511 and 051-9269850, while WhatsApp inquiries can be made at 0303 0652963.
The programme highlights the growing emphasis on artificial intelligence and data analytics skills within the financial sector. By bringing together financial risk, fraud detection and customer analytics in a single executive training session, NIBAF Pakistan aims to give participants exposure to technologies that can be applied across different areas of modern financial operations.
